Honestly, unless its a third party company, i wouldnt expect many vehicles in this line, price to make one alone isnt worth Hasbros investment, it would need to be one that can be reused, much like they have done with Vamp, Ferret, Trouble bubble and RAM, where the reused it those multiple times, this year i beleive willipete said there are 3 or 4 vehicles coming, we know 2 (CLAW and AWE-Striker), and i might be missing one, but that would be the max i would expect per year and wouldnt expect larger vehicles outside Haslab offerings which most believe this year will be a joe tank of some sort.
This isnt the 80s any longer where Hasbro or Mattel would make thousands of these vehicles and there was a massive desire to buy them by kids, now they have to do much smaller runs and targeted to a select client base

Collecting in the US and collecting from Italy are two different sports unfortunately. There is no way I can find figures on sale here, Hasbro Pulse is my only viable option and there are very few of the figures I want in stock, let alone vehicles.
At some point I'm going to import from the US, I think BigBadToyStore ships to Italy and they have pretty much all I want. But it's going to come at a cost, we're talking around 80$ shipping and pretty much the same amount in taxes. But yeah, I'm gonna do it, I'll just wait and see what they restock over at Pulse EU for some time. I'm interested in world building and dioramas as well, don't forget to share pics and techniques! |

This isnt the 80s any longer where Hasbro or Mattel would make thousands of these vehicles and there was a massive desire to buy them by kids, now they have to do much smaller runs and targeted to a select client base It's just a matter of being risk-averse and focused more on profitability than in sheer volume of sales. Different market conditions yes, increased manufacturing costs yes, but on the other hand basically free advertising through social media channels, direct b2c sales without middle men taking shares, and 0 costs in the design department. The 80's were about abundance, modern landscape is all about artificial scarcity. It's just a paradigm shift. And I absolutely see no reason why a kid shouldn't be interested in playing with a Stinger (which is a fantastic toy), as long as he knows it exists. I'd rather try with a new Sunbow level cartoon, the fact that a lot of us are still here decades later buying g.i. joe just goes to show how powerful they were. Instead they (Hasbro) are just clinging to this niche. Pulse average email sounds like, ehi, did you break your wi-fi or what? Look, our products sell out quickly. Of course they do. You manufacture way below demand. It's lame. And as for repaints. They are in stock, while originals are not usually. They don't really need to make repaints to recoup costs, they need to manufacture more base models! Quote:
But I've started checking all my options to make sure I can get at least the characters I like the most before investing in the classified series. |

the 80s were a giant toy commercial, every cartoon was a 30 minute toy commercial with massive toy lines to support, today, kids for the most part dont collect as there isnt anything to get them excited, yes there are some cartoons, but there arent saturday morning cartoons or cartoon blocks in the afternoon on local TV stations, now there are so many options for kids, toys are not one of them, media now is a million times different than in the 80s, most kids only knew about new figures when they went to Toys R Us or Childrens palace, now their only sources of toys are one aisle at Target or Wal-mart with a couple pegs worth of space.
Virtually every toy line out now is marketed at 50 year old men who grew up watching G.I. Joe, Transformers, He-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, other lines are more nostaglia made by smaller toy makers like Super7. The largest areas in a aisle now is Jurassic Park, Marvel, DC, TMNT, Transformer One and Star Wars, the rest fights for small spots
