What?s your take on how the later figures compare in overall durability and quality to the early 25th releases?

The later figures have better proportions and sculpts than the 25th figures. The durability and quality are about the same as they were made out of the same materials. The later figures have better articulation in some areas (especially the wrists). There were some QC issues over the years though. I remember the Danger at the Docks set (both retail and SDCC) had paint issues with Flint. Overall, I prefer the later figures much more than the 25th figures, but that's just me.

I recall the 50th Anniversary figures (2014) being very rubbery plastic, compared with before. They had 30th Anniversary sculpting, which was great, but the plastic was worse. And poor paint, as you mention. 2014 was when I stopped collecting 4" Modern Era Joes.
