Yeah, my bracket may get busted early.

I think I may have overestimated the vocal "IT NEEDS TO BE RETRO" crowd when I made my picks for figures like Snow Serpent, etc.

That figure is currently getting smoked by the generic female sniper. Not saying the female sniper is a bad figure, but as a generic figure I thought the "proper" colored Snow Serpent would win over here.

Yup, definitely some potential upsets in this first round. Alpine is beating Glenda by quite a bit so far and Shadow Tracker is mopping the floor with the Stinger Driver at the moment.

The Retro Eel is getting slaughtered by the Twilight Guard, which would also be a small upset.

There are a few close battles too!

Personally speaking the retro snow serpent was my least favorite figure of last year. Giving him the dusty load out was a big miss IMO. Happy for the people that wanted him but I prefer the more subdued colors of the classified version. In general I find the retro line very hit and miss. It has some of the best figure of the line but also some of the worst. even this year with what has been revealed I'm only picking up Flint, Cover girl and three Vipers

I still don't know which version I like better lol I think I lean more towards the non-retro version though. The Eel is a total toss-up for me, I think I may like the gray on the retro one a little more since it's a little less blue and more greenish/brownish slightly.

It's a shame the retro Snow Serpent and Eel didn't get some new accessory tooling and get their old school backpacks and weapons/gear. I think that would have elevated them quite a bit for a lot of folks.

I thought the classic would get get more good feels than the unknown here too. Fun surprise.

Interesting to see Raptor hanging in there with HALO jumper. Not sure either goes far, but thought people were more enthusiastic about the jumper...maybe that was just me

I didn't rank the Retro troop builders highly, they're hard to get excited about if you jumped in on the original release and don't need to collect-em-all
