(Economic post, there's nothing political to debate about with regard to this topic now).
All current indications point to goods that are produced overseas carrying a tariff a couple of months from now. I don't want to talk about if that's a good idea or a bad idea, or who wants to accomplish what by doing such a thing. It is what it is. We're past that now, there's not a thing anyone has to gain by discussing their opinions about if we should or shouldn't be doing this. What I am curious about is this: What's your price ceiling for the type of standard Classified release that we've become accustomed to? Is your expectation that Hasbro would eat any cost increase to keep you as a customer, or are you willing to pay more out of pocket for the same quality product that we're used to right now? We won't know details for a while, but creating options between no change and a 60% increase. |

I haven't bought a single figure at full price. Sorry, but $100 for 4 figures is absurd. I bought a few at Ross, I think $6 is a good price for them. I got a few on clearance online, for between $10 to $12. That's the highest I'm willing to go.

I think they're too high now. And why is a 2-pack more then two single figures? If you buy two, you should get a break

I'm fine with $25 per figure. I buy very few. I'm selective. I have less than 20 Classified figures total.
When CI Firefly and CI Viper were super rare and hard to find, I paid $100 each for them cause I really wanted them. No regrets, but obviously I wouldn't pay that for every figure. Ironically, I prefer the Classic Firefly and I'm getting the Retro Viper next year, so I'll be "replacing" the two figures I spent the most on. Collecting can be weird. |

Of course I would prefer the main figures stay at $25. But I really only collect one line at the moment (with the exception of anything Original Trilogy-related for SW Vintage Collection) and would be willing to pay $30.
I buy one of each and every Classified release, but since that is all I collect now, it is actually pretty reasonable in terms of spending. I think I spend about $1600 a year on Classified toys, so an average of $130 a month doesn't break the bank.

I already feel they're at the ceiling. Of course, I dropped the scale, so take my 2 for what they're worth.

I think they are at about the right price now. I don't buy everything... only what I really want. I don't troop build. I'm not a completist. What a figure is 'worth' to me depends on the figure.
OAMCC? Worth Zero to me. No interest. Mutt n Junkyard? Easily worth full price of $45. Raptor? He was only worth it to me at 25% off. Snake Eyes v2 w/ Timber retro deluxe? I think I'd pay $45 or so for that. Disappointing figures such as Falcon or Tomax/Xamot - $16 or less. I'd like to have a Chuckles on my shelf... but he's not worth the price to me. |

I'd pay current price. If they raise it to 30-40, they'd better increase the accessories and make them look more like FMF Monster Force figures.

Everyone should say you are not willing to pay more. That way when Hasbro sees this thread, (as it is proven they frequent these boards) we wont be giving them information like this on a silver platter and they will know that we wont accept a price increase of any kind.
I think its a bit too early to assume there will even be any tariffs of any kind yet. We dont need Hasbro raising prices simply because they think we are expecting them. My two cents. |
