You need to put the batteries in to experience the full glory of the light set ups. And when you open the back door and the red light kicks in, it is glorious.

The overall scale improvements I like, I enjoy the lights, and the new canopy and tread covers and even the rocket pods.

Why is it a 9 then and not a 10 ?
Partly it is down to some features I think they could have included at that price.. such as why put a great big decal saying winch cover if there is no winch, there is plenty of space for one there.

So small downsides.
The missiles fall of the rails way to easily - they likely realised that was an issue as the Dragonfly's missiles sit solidly on the rails now.

The Hitch doesn't work especially well and feels a little fragile.

There is no control console for the guns

The interior parts giggle around (but short of risking breaking them they don't easily come out - sure some people have wrenched the gun rack out - but despite what the instruction say it really is wedged in there quite securely

Likewise the seat has enough space for two seats and enough points to movie it around - but the seat is locked in place by the shape and the height of it - and really the seat should have folded up vertically.

The interior is a bit odd - it kinda works a female figure can "just about" stand up inside - but the males really can't I've managed to get 7 or even 9 Girls in the back and likely could get a dozen inside if the seat folded.

So if there is one thing that irks me it is those interior features - the cosmetics of the interior where there is some large visible gaps also make me pine for some interior ceiling gap fillers too.

Personally I also think the gun rack doesn't work things just sit on it and immediately all fall out when the tank is moved.

The Hiss Engineer's weapons and tools were all really misshapen out of the box and are really spongy.

The male characters can't hold the main gun as their hands are way to large for them. The Male characters likely could have done with a slightly larger side arm too.

So if they'd done that seat and gunrack a bit better i'd likely give it a 10 too - I also really wish they'd included a top hatch cover & allowed the cobra logo spot lamp lens to rotate too. The illumination button is to easy to bump during casual handling, I also think the gun cage likely should have been removable so as to free up interior space and for the guns to be "remote" (along with that top cover).

On the plus sides - I like the moving treads, I like the new parts, the figures are decent enough (though are showing their age a bit now).

I am amused by the Energon reactor being it's power source.

So yeah - I like it - I want repaints.. I just would recommend that if they do re-release or repaint it they tweak the interior functionality just a little bit. Make it so that gun rack comes out or is replaced with another design (like a small opening box with a monitor above it, or mirrored folding seats for example).

That is why I often recommend the Arctic Hiss as that seems like something some mild remolding would suit the best. & than any small improvements like that could carry over to future releases.

I hope they keep the new parts though as I am not a huge fan of the Retro parts if it isn't "retro branded". I feel it looks to stripped down that way.

So I like it, but there is some room for improvement too.
