Released in November 2024 as part of Wave 17 in the Classified Series, Destro's Iron Grenadiers are even more dangerous now with the Iron Grenadier B.A.T. joining the Classified Series ranks. A repaint of the Classified B.A.T. figure, this makes the 5th version of a B.A.T. in Classified after the classic B.A.T., Python Patrol B.A.T., Arctic B.A.T. and Crimson B.A.T.

The Iron Grenadier B.A.T. features a great black, red and gold paint scheme that really fits complements the Iron Grenadier perfectly. The weapons and loadout are the same that we saw with the original B.A.T., although instead of the alternate damaged head he comes with the alternate modern head (first seen with the Arctic B.A.T.) and the Arctic B.A.T.'s chainsaw. The weapons are painted a nice gold that really looks good paired up with the black and red. It's worth noting the Iron Grenadier B.A.T. is missing a solid, armored chest piece featuring the Iron Grenadier logo, which would have been a neat addition. Collectors should be happy to know that his weapons seem to fit a lot better than the Crimson B.A.T.'s weapons did too.

The Iron Grenadier B.A.T. comes packed with the following gear and accessories: (3) detachable hand attachments (an articulated claw, a flamethrower and a laser gun), a storage backpack, an alternate head, a pistol, (2) removable chest panels (one with battle-damage and one with no damage) and a removable chainsaw hand attachment,

It's a BAT, so it's an awesome figure. The colors are very nice. This one doesn't bring anything new to the table outside of the clear chest piece. I've got one, I will probably get one more and call it a day.

This is another one, like the Iron Grenadier and the latest Storm Shadow, that look outstanding at a glance and then a closer look reveals a few significant issues. The B.A.T. looks better in gold, black, and red than in any other color scheme, IMO, and the reuse of the cycloptic head and chainsaw from the Arctic B.A.T. is very smart. The clear chest plate is overdue, but seems to take multiple tries to get it on in a way that it won't fall (or even fly) off the chest. All four arm to shoulder joints on both of mine are very gappy (one almost as bad as 50% of the Classified Cover Girl figures out there), which is a stark contrast to the first classified B.A.T. (I don't own any others, but it looks like this may have been a common issue with the Crimson B.A.T.). Also it appears that the pegs for the claw and other attachments were retooled, and none of them fit the wrist as snugly as the did with that first Classified B.A.T. The shoulder issue seems like it could be a result of mold overuse, but retooling the pegs on the wrist attachments is mind boggling. It's probably time to retire this tool.

That being said I do enjoy this figure ,a 9 is what I?ve given most figures minus maybe 15 or so of them, I love the color combo a ton ,IMO anything IG is great and wanted more than most other things . I have a handful coming from pulse whenever they decide to ship and I have 2 of them currently that I found in the wild .

Despite being a repaint he earned a 10 from me. He came with the clear chest piece the 1st version omitted, all the arm attachments fit snug which was an issue with one of the reissues, and he came with that awesome Arctic BAT head.
