Just got him today, and he's an easy 9. I personally love the updates, and how they give him that pop of red that the original had from its accessories. Great details. Only negatives for me is his knees were REALLY tight on mine, and the backpack isn't really made for his accessories. Still works fine though.

was going to pick him up but I'm seriously thinking of scaling back on Classified and ONLY doing the retro line up, which I'm sure they'll re-release this guy on. Great looking figure though, just don't care for the extra "baggage" on him and the red highlights (except for the tattoo, obviously)

Man, I just love the 1988 costume.

To me, the 1984 was more of a straight-up, no-frills ninja outfit, and the 1988 added some bells and whistles for more of a "modern" or urban look.

Like the classic "Ninja" movies. The 84 Storm Shadow is more like "Enter The Ninja" and the 88 Storm Shadow is more like "Ninja III The Domination," perfect for going on a mass-murder spree on a golf course in broad daylight.

Did what almost everyone has done at this point and went ahead and modified my second copy of good ole Stormy. Cut the stock belt with an exacto and stacked it with the belt and skirt piece from V1 Stormy. Was pretty easy and maybe took me a whole 10 minutes. Very satisfied with the look.

Looks great. I haven't modded mine yet, but I'll be copying this as I have a spare SS. I was thinking about painting his shin guards, but they look fine with your mods.

Looks fantastic DF! Which swords did you end up going with on yours?

Pulse still hasn't shipped this wave so I don't have mine to mod yet, but I definitely plan on doing a few for him. I feel like v2 Storm Shadow is one of those Classified figures that is an 8 or a 9 out of the package, but with a few mods gets elevated to a 9 or a 10.

Thanks man! The swords are from Marauders. Link below. They?re probably my favorite in this scale and I bought a bunch a couple years back. Blades have a good sharp point on them. They have long and short swords which is nice.
