I have some. They are good. I gave one to the new McFarlane Page Punchers Robin. I think their blades are a little bit thick and I want to go with a Ninjatō design as opposed to Katana but, may round off the Tsuba. Thanks for the rec though. I appreciate it.
Thanks! I had forgotten that figure came with the Muramasa blade. It may look good with him.

What a great figure , he?s a 10 for sure , once you take all the extra stuff off that seems to clutter him up he looks great , even with all the things I can name that are all nitpicks it?s not enough to deduct a single point off from him , he is a great figure I already kitbashed the crap out of him and gave him a backpack custom made for him ..
I will say not giving him a loose bolt for his back back is kind of bad especially when it should have been an arrow anyway .. |

My most anticipated toy of the year has finally arrived!!
I was gonna leave him "stock" but just minutes after opening the figure I knew I was gonna have to go for the mod. It's great that none of the parts take any damage by removing them, so if they ever make a Retro, this guy can easily be turned back into Classified version. I wanted it to look as 1988 as possible, so that meant just one sword and one claw, and the bow. I used an extra bow I had from the last Storm Shadow figure. I ripped a sheath off an old Marvel Legends Deadpool and stuck that on the backpack. I think it looks cool. I'd like to get a belt for him with all the pouches, but I have no ideas for that, so I'm satisfied for now. It's so nice to FINALLY have this dude on my shelf! |

I have very mixed feeling about this guy. I like the overall look very much. The hood is how I wish the hood on the first main line Classified Storm Shadow was done, and I like the samurai inspired updates, although the dual swords should be one short and one long. Pretty standard for Storm Shadow and so disappointing that it's two swords the same length but one curved and one even more curved. This figure could really benefit from deep two-way butterflies like the Cobra Storm Shadow. He can hold a sword in two hands, but not really the way I want him to (it doesn't look very natural, I guess). The articulation all seems VERY smooth, which is great. Nothing floppy and nothing tight. I also really wish he didn't have trigger finger hands (there really needs to be a good set or two of regular gripping hands in the line, as it looks kind of weird when he's holding the sword and the claws, too, a bit). The extra hands are good. The reused backpack from the Night Creeper is a bad reuse, and so is the bow from Shadow Tracker. That hing is just shit and only looks okay on a figure's back. It's fucking useless in his hands. Lastly, he was really difficult to get out of the plastic. He is very tight in there. Great for shipping, I suppose, but annoying for someone who wants to actually display the damn figure.
I want to like this figure a lot, but there's too much holding him back from a higher score. It looks excellent at a glance. A closer look reveals multiple minor issues which add up. 7/10 Edit: Fuck, I hit 6. Oh well. It's a passing grade. Whatever. Last edited by Snake Pants; 11-18-2024 at 05:05 PM.. |

When I first opened him I was a bit lukewarm but then as I fiddled with him I liked him more and more.
