You'd think a line of classic (and new) cereal mascots would be a no brainer at retail.

I gave him an 8. I think its a good figure and nice addition. Not sure why he's the pulsecon exclusive though. Also feel like having him priced as a deluxe feels a bit high for all the resuse, especially compared to other figures such as Raptor who is the same price.
I also do not like the helmet him and retro Duke came with. I feel the visor looks way too big and definitely sticks out in my opinion, which is a shame as I'd like to display him with the helmet. Also they need to not use those binoculars. Like I get is very reminiscent of the original binoculars but how they don't lay right on the figure definitely makes it feel cheap and very 80s and not in a good way. Was great to get blast effects for the jump pack that weren't warped for change! |

Got him yesterday, I like him a lot more than I thought I would! I actually mostly pre-ordered him for the head, was planning on using that as a placeholder for my custom retro Flint and use my repainted retro Duke head for Starduster. But since we're getting retro Flint in 2025 anyway...
I was going to give him a perfect 10 since I had absolutely no complaints but I did find 2 nitpicks that bumped him down to a 9: - Like DFender, I think the tan color on the webgear is too bright. At first I thought "eh, it's supposed to be that way. Can't really knock em for that". But after looking at some pics of the vintage figure, it should definitely be a bit darker - My second gripe is a bit bigger: he's supposed to have rolled up sleeves to the biceps, like it is on the Recondo buck. And I do think that would look a lot better. I thought about using Recondo's arms and painting the sleeve part light blue but that's not an option since there's too much of a gap when putting those on the Duke buck shoulders (I tried it) I did once again feel compelled to do some small modifications: got rid of the webgear for the above mentioned reason, gave the jetpack some actual straps, gave him a Snake Eyes leg holster and painted the belt buckle. I'm also a bit confused as to why everyone keeps saying that Starduster was a repaint of Duke. Looked up both vintage figures and the only thing they share is the torso. The head, arms, crotch piece and legs are all different ![]() |

Very nice mods as always Freditor. I have been been meaning to give his webgear a wash to make it look a little darker, jsut haven't gotten around to it yet.
It is interesting, he really wasn't a straight Duke repaint at all back then and was definitely a Frankenstein of many different figures (Flash/Duke/Recondo/Flint/Roadblock).

Gave him a 9. Not bad, for a repaint. I took off a point for not having a painted knife blade, but everything else is pretty good. I like the open hand, as it's easier to get him into a two-handed gun pose, without stretching out the plastic on his left grip hand.
