Released in October 2024 as a Wal Mart exclusive, Falcon arrives to Classified in his Night Force gear paired up with Swiss international member from the ARAH-era of G.I. Joe, Quarrel, who was a Scarlett repaint released in the UK in 1983 as part of the Action Force line over there.
Fans were excited to hear Hasbro was giving Falcon a new-and-improved head sculpt when this 2-pack was revealed since his original face was not very well-received. The new head is a huge upgrade over his old head and can be used with his classic figure if one chooses to. For his Night Force figure, Hasbro decided to use the well-regarded Outback buck, which looks good and also gives Falcon some more muscle. They also gave him the Range-Viper's tactical vest and belt, which gives him a much more modern and more battle-ready look compared to his classic look. Quarrel is mostly a repaint of the recent Retro Scarlett figure as well as re-using Shooter. Her head is all-new and features a really nice face that has a lot of detail. Her neck also appears to be new with an ear-piece cable sculpted on. Hasbro gave both figures a lot of weapons, albeit it is comprised of 100% re-use. Falcon re-uses his knife, backpack and shotgun from his first release and also re-uses the Range-Viper's weapons along with Tunnel Rat's neckerchief bandana and night-vision goggles. Quarrel re-uses the Mutt rifle and Scarlett's crossbow and gear. Each figure comes with one of Tunnel Rat's flashlights, though there is no place to stow them on the figures. Both figures also come with repainted alternate Steel Corps helmet heads done in the Night Force deco (note these are repaints of the Steel Corps Trooper heads) as well as repainted Steel Corps shoulder armor in the black, red and green deco. The Steel Corps Commander and Twilight Guard comes packed with the following gear and accessories: Falcon - a shotgun, a backpack, an alternate Steel Corps helmet head, a knife (which can be stowed on the backpack), a heavy machine gun with removable ammo clip, a grenade launcher, a removable neckerchief bandana, a removable beret, a pair of removable night-vision goggles, (2) removable shoulder armor pauldrons and a flashlight; Quarrel - a two-piece crossbow, (4) arrow bolts (which can be stowed in her hip quiver), a dagger, a pistol, a flashlight, an assault rifle with removable ammo clip, (2) alternate fist hands, (2) removable shoulder armor pauldrons, an alternate Steel Corps helmet head and a knife. Using the poll options, rate the figure (and vehicle) on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being a total miss and a 10 being plastic perfection, based on what you feel the figure (and vehicle) deserves. Ratings should take overall design, sculpt, paint apps and paint deco, accessories and articulation into consideration. Thanks for voting and Yooo Joe!!! I had this pre-ordered, then all of these other pre-orders dropped and I had to tighten the budget somehow so I cancelled, and I seriously regret it. Hope it comes back in stock...

Oh man, that does suck! More went up today, but hopefully more go up again so you can nab a set. I'm actually pretty impressed with this 2-pack. Falcon and Quarrel are both very nice.

I was surprised they didn't sell out faster. I love the slightly brighter and more saturated night force colors. I also like how they have been adding Steel Corps helmets to turn any figure into a troop builder with a bit of mix & match. To me this set is an easy 9/10

I love how the flashlight can fit on the belt loop that was for Range Viper's dagger.
Love the new head on my regular Falcon.

Easy ten for me. I really like this set. Both of the figures are top notch. Besides the new head sculpt for Falcon the Outback body is way better then the original release which I always thought was to scrawny for Falcon. The weapon reuse doesn't bother me since the M-16 and grenade launcher are two of my favorite weapons in the line. Even his shotgun seems to be sturdier then previous releases. Easily my favorite two pack of the year.

The new head is such a big improvement over that original head.

I have it a 9 great set falcon is a meh I wanted an extra quarrel so @ least now I can change ver 1 falcons head , IMO quarrel is the superior figure I love the Scarlett body mold works just as good in green & black , don’t mind the head/portrait either just wish we would stop getting that shotgun though everything else is great love the range viper load out , they are some of the best stock weapons out there . All around good set
I took off 1 point for the shotgun no holster again for her handgun and not enough guns for his holsters. …. Otherwise no complaints As always thank you darthbrett for all these great polls

8/10
I really ended up enjoying this set more than I thought I would. The Falcon portrait is definitely an improvement, but I can't help but feel it looks huge / wide still. I dunno, maybe I'm scarred for life regarding how Falcon should look, ha. I had thought the Starduster portrait might make more sense for Falcon given how close it looks to Duke and considering Duke and Falcon are related. Then I saw a short on Youtube and I may be convinced. Now I gotta decide if I try to secure another copy of Starduster and swap out the portraits there for standard Falcon and NF Falcon, then either use the full helmet head on Starduster or my modified Kamakura unmasked head. HELP ME, I CAN'T STOP PLAYING MUSICAL HEADS AND WASTING MONEY ON EXTRAS FOR A SINGULAR PART! |

I gotta say, I had absolutely no interest in this set but seeing some reviews has changed my mind. I just love that Falcon, especially once you remove the shoulder armor. I just love that Outback buck and the color combinations look so good. Pretty sure I'm getting it.
Don't worry man, I have the same sickness. Bought so many figures over the past few months just because I needed 1 part for a custom. |
