Also can confirm that Starduster's portrait is the ideal Falcon. SIGH, off to Pulse to get another Starduster. Also going to hit up their customer service, I seem to have a QC issue on mine where the camo on his left leg is very faint compared to the rest of the figure. Super bummed. |

Can confirm that Tunnel Rat's scarf looks great. So, now I need to get a Night Force Tunnel Rat, SIGH.
Was looking on ebay for just that piece but with shipping, VAT and probably custom fees (I live in Europe) it would almost be as much as the figure. Don't know if you do that kind of stuff but you could paint that gray scarf green. That would leave your Tunnel Rat scarfless though... Your pictures also convinced me that I need a Starduster, that headsculpt does indeed make a perfect Falcon. Although I do think I might still use it for my custom retro Flint since Hasbro STILL haven't announced theirs. Sigh indeed 😄 |

I think we can expect the properly rolled up sleeves, web gear, and camo pattern, but whether or not we'll get a new face sculpt is probably dependent on what other figures are in the same wave. With the Retro figures, it feels like 1 out of the 3 figures in a wave gets a significant overhaul, while the other two are typically color variations or slight updates. |

Gave it a 9, a few minor joint annoyances and lack of any new accessories prevent it from being a 10 imo.
I could've done with half of these weapons and accessories for a $50 price point as opposed to $55, but at least they're all pretty rigid and nothing's warped. Still hate Falcon's backpack, wish Quarrel had gotten one too. Happy with the head sculpts and paint apps. Quarrel looks stern and determined but still retains femininity. Falcon looks like an actual human being now and has a boyish look that shows signs of being hardened through battle, I dig it a lot more than I thought I would. I removed the shoulder pads from Falcon cause I prefer the simple sleeve look like the 1/18th versions, but also they were just kind of annoying to reposition and fiddle with in addition to all the other overlays sliding around on him. Despite how much I love the Z-Force symbol and flag under Quarrel's shoulder pads, I don't want to remove hers cause I like the silhouette they provide. Also gave her a Marauder FO6R cause it looked cool and unique. One thing that surprised me was Falcon's hands, the wrist hinge orientation is actually correct as opposed to others on this mold like Outback and Clutch, happy to see that. |

I got this set mainly to use the new Falcon head with my old Falcon. There isn't a lot in the NF Falcon set up that reads as "Falcon" to me -- it doesn't pass the squint test. It's not a bad buck or deco, just nothing about it evokes the key elements of the original figure it is referencing.
Quarrel is an interesting deep cut and a welcome additions as both a female and an international Joe. I do think it was a mistake to not pair her with the Night Pursuit Cycle to reference her coming with the RAM in Action Force and the emphasis on her motorcycle skills on her filecard. I'll definitely be giving her the cycle and making Shockwave hoof it. As for the figure itself, the lighter color onthe legs makes the thighs look even bigger and more muscular and starts to give off Legends vibes. I appreciate an all-new head-sculpt instead of just doing a new hair color on Scarlett, but it's not a face i find particularly notable or engaging. The pack comes with a lot of accessories so that's a definite plus and while I have no use for them, the Steel Corps helmets make this a nice double for a NF Steel Corps army builder pack. Overall, I'd give this a 7. It's a decent offering but not essential. Quarrel alone would rate higher and Falcon drags the average down. |

They did really good on this set, too bad it would be a dream to see it in 1:18 scale...
