Must-own CoCo if you don't already have the HISS version? I don't, so this is going to stick around as my primary CoCo figure until a proper v2 comes along. The vac-metal looks great, and both helmet and stripe are acceptable on the one I got.

He's fine but honestly I kind of prefer my MM one. IMHO the vac metal feels out of place with the rest of my display, too.

Solved my crooked stripe issue. Just removed the stripe and repainted it.

Man, I totally love this figure.

Mine came in two weeks ago, but its arrival coincided with other stuff, and then the Black Major CCs showed up and stole all this one's thunder.

But it's a really nice figure. I think the interesting thing about it (for me at least) is how unique it feels from the HISS version - despite, you know, being the same damn figure for the most part.

This was the version of Cobra Commander that people wanted in Classified for quite awhile, so it's pretty great that he's finally here.

Nitpicks are nitpicky, but what the hell. If he wasn't going to come with the cool snake globe deal, then I wish they'd have put in a scepter. Especially considering that this is supposed to be the Sunbow version. Of course, I guess if you do a scepter, you've gotta do the cape, and if you do the cape then.....anyway.

I kinda/sorta think that Super7 did a better job capturing the..idk..the essence I suppose you'd say...of Sunbow CC. I look at theirs on my shelf and can practically hear him yelling "retreat!" It's like he stepped off the screen.

I bought two intending to put a hood on the other, but I'm thinking I'll probably keep the second in the package for now. Not that it wouldn't look good in the hood, just that I've used the same hooded head mold on first Classified release and on one of my Super7s.

I'll spare everyone the pic. Suffice it to say, he's on a shelf with a bunch of other CC figures. I used the angry clutching hand to try and recreate the original card art.

Love the figure, but I think I prefer the lighter baby blue that the OAM version has.

I do too. If they released one down the road that the almost baby blue of the ARAH figure I would buy it again.

Got mine today. Like pretty much everyone here I absolutely love him but unfortunately I got a crooked stripe head.
I know painting over it would be an option but I wonder if using nail polish remover would work as well. It's made of a softer type plastic so I'm afraid it might get damaged.

I've already noticed a tiny bit of paint rub around the blue collar neck piece on my copy.

Sigh, looks like I need another one as a backup.

Thanks! Citadel Macragge Blue Spray. But I hit it with a coat of primer first. I used Tamiya 1500 gray primer. Let the primer cure for 48 hours. 3 light coat of Macragge. Let that sit for a day or so (honestly I forgot about it lol). Before I applied glue I flexed the helmet. No cracking or flaking. Picked an area on the inside that would be covered by the noggin and tried to scratch it off. My fingernail just pushed the paint down and changed the sheen. Couldn't ask for a more stable paint job. The secret is letting the primer cure, then paint cure to the primer.

If you know all that please forgive the rambling post lol

PS. Citadel makes Macragge in brush paint too. The color is a damn near perfect match to Retro CC. But spray that bad boy. It'll come out super clean.
