Greetings everyone. I just recently started buying Joes and have some questions.
First, I was wondering about the weapons. I can't seem to get them to stay in their hands. Are there any tips for this? Do the guns from Marauders fit better? Secondly, I saw a crimson viper 5 set @ TRU for 15 bucks. Good deal or not? Third, where can I get a cobra commander(not roc)? I saw a cool one @ TRU again that comes in a 5 pack with duke and 3 other figs, but 30 bucks? Like I said I'm new to this so I would appreciate the input. Last, is it easy to swap Joe heads? I want to get an Agent Helix and put another head on her. Would a noobie like me have difficulty doing this? Thanks for your time. Sorry to ramble. Laters |

Welcome to the Tank!!!
Weapons will fit in their hands depending on the molds of the weapons and the hands. The best trick is just to figure out the best way each figure can hold them. I don't have any experience with the Maurader style weapons though. The Crimson set for $15 is pretty good. Considering that figures are $5 at the lowest at retailers, $3 per figure is a deal. Do you want helmeted or hooded CC? You can find him individually. Joe head swaps are easy. I've found that the trickier part is the length of their necks making some look like a giraffe and others like Igor, with no neck. Good luck! and welcome again!

Well, I have a few of your answers.
The crimson viper 5 pack, yes is well worth the 15 bones. The Cobra Commander you can purchase online if you cant find it in retail. It does come as a single carded version, actually there are a few different versions in the 25th line that are single carded. Have a gander at brians toys or small joes, or another online toy store to find what you want. I have used Small Joes many times for purchases and have always had good service and quick shipping. Prices are good too. The head swap thing, easy as pie, just pull on the head and its off. no sweat. Have fun and welcome to the tank. |

Welcome to the tank.
Good deal on the vipers, that's how I got mine. You can pick up a Cobra Commander for a few bucks from ebay or other online retailers. As for the heads just pull. It's that easy.

Joes have always had the weapon problem. Some work better than others.
Not a terrible deal for the CG Pack, you may be able to get them buy one get one %50 off at toysrus.com, or buy them in store and save on shipping. I saw 5 sets at my TRU today. Two cheap versions of 25th Cobra Commander: 25th Anniversary - Comic 2-Packs Wave 05 - Cobra Commander Vs. Tripwire - GI Joe 25th Anniversary & Classics Comic 2-Packs at BigBadToyStore 25th Anniversary - Wave 8 - Cobra Commander With M.A.S.S Device Crystal - GI Joe 25th Anniversary & Classics Single Figures at BigBadToyStore Heads swaps are extremely easy. Just put your thumb under the chin and push up. It will pop right off and you can replace it with a different head. Welcome to the Tank and to Joe collecting! |

Welcome to the tank and sometimes the hot water trick will work on the hands (or hair dryer Snake Eyes I'm looking at you kid) just run the hands under some hot water until it gets soft then close the hand tighter or to the way you want it..then run it under cold water and it should stay that way and hold the weapon a little better

Welcome, you should invest some time over at yojoe.com in order to acquaint yourself with the breadth of the 3 3/4in line. You can learn quite a bit there.
