That being said, for some reason the SMGs that came with my copies of Duke are not rubbery at all. So who knows. Seems to be a mixed bag. Some of the weapons I get are gummy as all hell but with Duke I lucked out. |

I mentioned this in another thread, but Mattel's Masterverse line has nice, solid weapons and an age range of 6+. Classified's is 4+. Maybe Hasbro should just up the age range to 6 and stop with the shitty soft plastic. There's no way 4 year olds are playing with these things, anyway.

They've explained that it's a safety measure. While they're working on improving it, with Lenny saying we should be good by the time we're in 2025, the standards were explained if an accessory can snap in half and result in a sharp end or point, it does not pass their child safety standards.

Some of the weapons I get are gummy as all hell but with Duke I lucked out. Hopefully we will be able to get a compromise. The thing that I really don?t like to see is when the grip pressure from the fig?s hands bends the accessory. |

They also appeared to have a factory change a lil while back, amidst that Covergirl wave if I'm not mistaken. Onboarding a new vendor in conjunction with the safety standards may be the perfect storm to result in these gummy ass weapons. Might have taken them all this time to dial in just the right amount of sturdiness to pass their safety standards without being so flaccid, ha.

I gave him a 10. This is the perfect Classified Duke for me. I was really disappointed that the modern 3.75" line ended before they were able to make a Duke like this. Here he is with Scarlett.
And his iconic card art pose.

Some of the weapons I get are gummy as all hell but with Duke I lucked out. That's exactly what I'm thinking happened too just using the info that we know and the timeline of events. The good thing is that Lenny has mentioned twice now in the past month or so that they have addressed it and are currently in the process of fixing it. I think he said most of the figures for the second half of 2024 should be gummy weapon-free and by the beginning of 2025 the issue should be completely gone.
