His wrists throw my head off everytime I look at him... It's way off and at first I thought it was a defect, like a flaired out lower forearm but no, it's designed that way. Recondo hid it better with a watch I believe.

I removed the boot knife and bandolier... and all his weapons minus the laser rifle. That helped a bit.

I'm glad they didn't transfer the shoulder flag patch err on the box art to the figure. Sadly if they had, I would have passed on this.

I personally like this figure a lot.

Pros:
Articulation is great. That Ab set up
is fun.

Looks good
Articulation good.
Ball Ab and upper chest cut
is fantastic.

Cons:

Flesh colored Elbows.
Duke has certified Giraffe neck.

No complaints but he is not Spirit or Scarp Iron level 10. I actually put the 60th Infantry masked head on him with the Stalker beret too. Easy 9

Edit: added Stalker beret to figure.

WTF is up with his head?? The original figure had a friendly, confident smile. The card art showed a winning, confident smile.

The classified figure's face is a totally vapid "just doing my weekly shopping at the grocery store" expression. How do u drop the ball so badly?

I've noticed more and more customs, kitbashes, etc. using this version of Duke. I'd say he is quietly one of the better releases in this scale, with the design team capturing what was classic about the o-ring figure while giving collectors a well-designed figure. He's got the heroic look without being annoying (as some of his figures' expressions have been) and stands out among the many, many male figures.

BA Cobra Commander is my all-time ARAH figure, so I had really high expectations for the Classified version. Despite a few grumblings, I still think the Classified figure looks amazing and I am really looking forward to getting him! I really think he's going to end up being one of those figures that looks way better once you get him in-hand. Wishful thinking? Perhaps lol

But back to Retro Duke, he is by far one of the best figures in the Classified line so far and one of the best Retro figures as well. Top notch figure for sure.

I am almost as excited as you are for bacc

But I also agree recondo & Duke are the best retros up until beachhead returned ..

IMO Duke has never looked better ..
