I don't disagree, but then it's the fun game of "Gee, what size is this barbell peg?" So that's not necessarily a "fix" either. But if it winds up being loose on the Action Soldier, I'll just pad the inside with some gray plumber's tape until it's snug. Are we sure the bucket with Shockwave is a "helmet" and not an alt. head (legit question as I haven't seen anything yet - but might've missed it)? Have you tried Clutch's SB bucket on mainline Shockwave?

I was planning on using the shark tooth helmets for gunners and maybe pilots (depending on the 60th Action Pilot) for my Dragonflys since Wild Bill and Glenda will be on display elsewhere.

Not yet personally, but I saw the shockwave swap in Bee's Battleground review:

Is this package actually a 10? No, it's not. It has its flaws in all sorts of places. There is plenty of reuse and a few convenient shortcuts to boot. It's an 8, realistically. Good--great, even.
But is this thing, this ridiculous and incredible thing that should not exist and would have been totally unthinkable just five years ago a scale-breaking 11? Yeah, it is. It's awesome and absurd and so much fun and a shot of adrenaline to a game-changing figure line that continues to outshine its competition from all brands and manufacturers. It's amazing and I love it. |

I love the set, but the more I mess around with the cannon the less I like it. I'm also disappointed with the floppy shotgun.
"Floppy" is too strong of a word, but it sounds funny. Still a 9 out of 10. |

This poll needed a higher number than 10 for me, so I settled for a 10. I had forgotten how much I loved the VAMP as a kid until I got this open and in my hands. I think I love it better than the HISS tank! I would probably trade in my HISS for another VAMP and two of the STINGER when it is released if I could. This is perfection to me. Finally figured out how to set the ammo crates so they sit right, and now all is right in the world for me.

Mark2Design is in the process of creating a vintage style cannon. He sent me a pic of his model last night and it looks fantastic.

I'm not a Classified collector, but the Vamp looks great!!! I like the idea of having Ma-Duce guns for the rear guns, but it's a departure from the original that just doesn't seem to work IMO. It looks like the guns were just put on a rack that was welded in Clutch's garage, instead of a gun engineered by the military. It also looks like the gun rack doesn't stay on the vehicle all to well. I guess there will be some casters/printers that will be selling a more "retro" looking gun soon.

Eh, Clutch's helmet is meant to fit Clutch, and it does. If it didn't, that'd be another story. Sure it's a bummer it doesn't fit other Joes, but it isn't meant to. I don't doubt that NF Shockwave's helmet will fit him. I guess the verdict's still out on whether it's actually a helmet or alternate head?
Or is it another case of having near identical helmets that are separate molds like Grunt and Steel Corps?

Make sure you have it aligned correctly. IE: the bottom of Clutch's chin is level with the bottom of the helmet. Because it isn't loose at all on my copy. However, the Crye helmet knocks around like crazy...and don't even think about touching the hanging chin strap to anything. I much prefer removable helmets to swappable heads.
Mark2Design is in the process of creating a vintage style cannon. He sent me a pic of his model last night and it looks fantastic. But yeah the Crye Helmet is loose on mine as well
