Released as a Hasbro Pulse exclusive in December 2023, the Cobra H.I.S.S. Fire Team 788 is a special 3-pack designed to complement the amazing Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank HasLab. The multipack consists of three Cobra figures: the Cobra H.I.S.S. Officer, the Cobra H.I.S.S. Range-Viper and the Cobra H.I.S.S. Infantry. All three are straight repaints of existing figures, but are now in a special new deco matching the black, red and dark gray color scheme of the HISS as well as having the number '788' and new insignias/patches displayed on their uniforms. The pack is loaded with a lot of stuff and really gives collectors lots of different display, photography and play opportunities.
The Fire Team 788 3-pack comes packed with the following weapons and accessories: Officer: an assault rifle with a removable magazine, a removable helmet, a machine gun with a removable ammo clip, a pistol, a removable backpack holster, a dagger and (3) blast effects (in a brand-new blue color scheme!). Range-Viper: a six-shot grenade launcher with removable cylinder magazine (can be stored on the backpack as well), a backpack (with attached sensor cable that connects to the Range-Viper's helmet/head), a removable bandolier, a pistol, a rifle with a removable ammo box, a sai blade, a pick axe, a removable neckerchief and (6) blast effects. Infantry: a rocket launcher, (4) removable missile rockets, a missile pack (which carries his rocket launcher and rockets), a removable helmet and (2) blast effects. Using the poll options, rate the figure on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being a total miss and a 10 being plastic perfection, based on what you feel the figure deserves. Ratings should take overall design, sculpt, paint apps and paint deco, accessories and articulation into consideration. Thanks for voting and Yooo Joe!!! They're good looking repaints and kitbashes but that's really all they are, but the commit the sin of not matching the tank or it's drivers. They're the same shade as the Crimson troopers but not the same shade as the HISS Drivers so they don't mesh well. Also no goggles for the trooper or officer? I'll buy the Dragonfly equivalent of this set though

Gave it an 8. Repaints aren't usually as exciting to me and kind of boring, but this one is pretty nice looking paired with the HISS. Nice pick-up for customizers with all of the gear they come with too.

As someone that planned on using the Crimson Alley Vipers as accompanying infantry with the HISS these do work but I feel like they don't match the intended purpose.

I'm an avid troop builder, but the troop builder packs have all been slightly underwhelming or have weird inconsistencies. Vipers being muted compared to the Cobra Island release, tTan Valkyries, the male Steel Corps being short and the weaker female Steel Corps figures, and so on...

Well i gave it a 9 sure they are repaints sure the colors/tone dont quite match the hiss very well , but the range viper is cool im biased for the range vipers anyway arah v1 was after i was playing with them but while i was still buying them to collect he wasnt my favorite but he had a look and the this fireteam version is just another nice take on that look . The officer is okay the infantry is even better lots of reuse yes but and i know helmet swap btwn an officer and infantry . But you switch their helmets and it gives the infantry a crisper look and it ties all of his uniforms colors together . And it really adds a look to the whole figure in general i bought 2 right off the bat . Will probably buy 2 more mostly for the range viper but will take all the ground forces they offer .

Figures looks wonderful.
They move good. Price is terrible. Literally. $90 dollars+ Haspulse membership or shipping. It feels to me Hasbro armed 2 Cobra troopers with a Deluxe Snow Serpent's guns. Even the rocket launcher and rockets. Once you've counted the Range Vipers guns we're left with an inconvenient question. Is the extra 5 dollars per figure then for the Tiny blast effects then? Oh so we paid an extra 15 bucks for Scrap Iron effect and teeny weenies? $25 dollar figs became $30 dollars per fig. Overall package ignoring price: 8/10 Good. Including the price shock: 7/10 They're counting on the thirst for Range Vipers and Red aren't they? Now I got even more Snow serpent guns again.

Gave it a 7. Very cool set as I appreciate all the part swap options this gives me. However, the weapons loadout really brings this down for me. I hope they start to move away from the valkyrie weapon set moving forward. They're far too tiny for the male figures in my opinion.
