In many cases I've experienced, the cockpits are big enough, but just not long enough. For example, Thunder Machine and Persuader are wide enough to fit modern figures, but just not long enough so that their feet can go all the way in.
I had to cut the front of the tub so the feet on my custom Backstop can go in so he can sit in the vehicle.

I mainly mean the difference in cockpit size between the vintage vehicles and the ME vehicles. For example the difference between the 1986 Tomahawk compared to the 30th Eaglehawk. Or the difference between the 1985 Snowcat compared to the POC Wolfhound. That's mainly what I'm wanting to know.

Not sure if this has been addressed, but with Joe Con coming, cananyone tell me how well ME figures fit into the Battleforce 2000 vehicles?

Um...I'm waiting for my question to be answered first. Then we'll get to your NON-important question. Thank you very much!!! Just kidding!

I believe it was the JoeCon 2017 discussion thread where this was discussed, though I don't remember exactly. Probably buried a ways back before the figure reveals.

The BF 2000 info is here on my post from page 101 of this thread.

Took me longer to get this done than planned, but here is what I found. I recently moved and have not unpacked my collection yet so I just grabbed the first ME era figures I found. My findings are that the Vector barely fits ME era figures. 25th Duke is crammed in the cockpit, but 25th Major Bludd fits the gun turret easily. The Eliminator is the worst for fit, ROC Storm Shadow can't even fully sit on the driver seat and the rear seat has the same issue. The Marauder works fine. The Skysweeper is a very tight fit for the Resolute BAT in the driver seat, he has to tilt a bit to one side for the canopy to close. The Vindicator is another with fit issues, the ROC Aqua Viper has to sort of hover a half inch over the seat. The Dominator works fine. I didn't include it in the pics since it isn't part of the Future Fortress, but the Pulverizer fits ME era figures easily. So basically, I'd say:
Battle Force 2000 ME Compatability Marauder- Yes. Eliminator- Not really without modification. Dominator- Yes. Vindicator- Not really withou modification. Skysweeper- Yes, barely. Smaller figures only. Vector- Yes, but barely. Smaller figures only. Pulverizer- Yes.

I couldn't find any entries for the Cobra ASP. Does anyone know if the modern figures fit in that one?

Sort of, I mean even vintage figures were a tight fit. I think I got a 25th Cobra trooper in there as well as a 50th Baroness.

I stuck a 25th Cobra Officer in there but the knees were fully bent and the feet stuck out of the canopy in front.
