I gave him a 5. I love the look and the accessories, but the damn loose ab crunch turns a perfect 10 into an average figure, for me. There's absolutely NO excuse for that kind of lack of QC. I do not understand how so many of those figures made it past inspectors. Shame on you, Hasbro.

I'll go with the consensus that this version blows away the Cobra Island version. I still think Hasbro can make a better one if they chose to go the retro route with the green phone and machine gun but this version might as close as we get.

I gave him a 9 hes not terrible , hes just not awesome hes very reminiscent of the arah version and puts the CI version to shame , also i do like his load-out btwn the bandolier and his handgun his knife on the wrist is a nice touch kind of wish he would have came with his arah backpack and walkie talkie / phone whatever ..

Similar to the new Duke I think this is about as good as it gets, aesthetically, with the Classified line. Personally I'm not huge on the design of these figures (I'm more in tune with the Ultimates), but based on what the line is trying to accomplish I would give it pretty close to a 10. Based on my own personal preference for figures I would give it more like a 7. But I still have one. One of my favorite Joe characters getting something that tries damn hard to be card-back accurate warrants some love.

I was putting some extra paint details on my Firefly (gunmetal gray on the gauntlets and buckles, silver on the safety lever of the grenades) and realised I've never rated him when I got him about half a year ago. Well, apparently I did since I can't vote anymore. But I see that I never really commented on him. I gave him a 10.
To me, this figure is plastic perfection, I love everything about him. I know this one is known for having some pretty bad QC issues but since mine doesn't really have those (the waist is a bit loose but not to the point where it hinders articulation) I feel like I can't deduct points for that. And I did change out the handgun but that's become common practice with Classified. It's between him or Storm Shadow for my favourite Classified Cobra figure. |

My first Fire Fly. My Ab crunch is not the worst and not the best. I would have died for Fire Fly as a kid too. Great addition. Have him on a motorcross with female blue ninja on the back holding his detonator. He has one hand on grip and a tech 9 in other hand with a blast effect. Love him. 9.5

I've arrived late to the Classified party (Hisstank also) and only started collecting the line last year.
FIREFLY (Classic) #84 is the bloke who started it all for me. Purchased him and retro Scarlett from a reasonably priced local Aussie retailer. "You can shut the gate on this one, Maxie. He is the ducks guts!" 10 from me. Mine doesn't have any substantial QC issues like others have suffered but boy he is absolutely loaded with gear. All Classified releases should have a similar accessory loadout. Classic ARAH uniform and all the accessories/weaponry with a few modern updates in a modern production 6", fully articulated format. The 1/12th RC car with a block of C-4 strapped to the top, too cool! Question for the Tankers who have been along with Classified from the beginning:- Was "Firefly (Classic)" technically the initial 'retro figure minus retro-cardback' then the full sub-series retro-cardback series began? None other of the 'regular release' Classified figures are designated as "Classic" and Firefly seems to be the only one and wouldn't be out of place in the Classified retro-card format. |

As far as Firefly goes, the retro line existed about a year before he came out as a Walmart exclusive line (summer '22). Though the regular retro line didn't start up until this past April, the retro card figures had already been around a while when he came out (late summer '23). He really is a fantastic figure and has a bunch of stuff that is a lot of fun.

Thanks for the greeting D.B. and more importantly, thank you very much for the comprehensive explanation on Firefly's naming/timeline.
AFAIK the only Classified figure with "Classic" in the name. |
