Released in July 2023 as part of the 4th wave of Wal-Mart's exclusive Retro assortment, the retro Crimson Guard is inspired by their appearance from the classic Sunbow cartoon. The Crimson Guard comes with the following accessories: a rifle with removable ammo clip, a backpack, a ceremonial sword with removable sword sheath, a ceremonial dagger, a pistol and a stand.

Differences for the Retro Crimson Guard release are:

1) - The figure's outfit is a much brighter shade of red compared to the regular release. 2) - The facemask is silver with a black visor, as opposed to black with silver visor for the regular CG. 3) - The holster for the pistol is red instead of black for this release. 4) - The CG's epaulettes, and aiguillette, or shoulder cord/braids, are panted silver for this release, whereas the regular CG has a metallic gray paint deco. 5) - The retro Crimson Guard has a red backpack, while the regular CG has a black one. 6) - The retro figure comes with a stand.


**Like the other retro figures from wave 1 thru 3, the card stock on these figures was not as sturdy as it probably should have been and most people received damaged card backs in the mail when the figures started shipping out.

Still a 10. The changes to the figure between this version and the standard release aren't enough to drop this release a point. I do question Hasbro's logic in releasing the retro version so close to the standard release... I actually got my retros before the standards.

Could've given it higher but I just wasn't too excited for these, too close to the standard release with color swaps I didn't like.

I went with a 9 just for the flimsy card and the regular Classified Crimson Guard helmet looks a little better. But overall, pretty much perfect. Crimson Guard is by far the best Classified yet, and I don't see them topping it. Alley Viper comes close.

Just added this guy to the ranked list. I'm not shocked he is so well-liked, but maybe a little surprised he's as high up as he is.

He's a solid 9 except his color red is off from the rest of the Crimson releases, making him useless in a Crimson display

That seems kinda important for the figure whose very namesake spearheaded the sub-team.

probably just me but I preferred the red hue on previous release CG otherwise perfect trooper .
