Released in April 2023 as part of Wave 11, the Joe team's 'GREEN BERET' debuted in Classified with let's just say, a whole lot of controversy. Without beating around the bush and getting straight to the point, Falcon's head sculpt was immediately met with lot of criticism, disappointment and even some confusion. What exactly happened to his face? Why does it look nothing like the render? Was there an error at the factory? How could a Classified head, for a lack of a better term, be so inferior compared to the usual Classified standards and be approved, produced and released? These were questions a lot of Classified fans were left wondering when he was first revealed and went live for pre-order. There was some hope that it may perhaps look better once in-hand, but unfortunately the final production did not look any better in-person. Head sculpt aside, Falcon is actually a pretty solid figure though his paint deco for his camouflage was also criticized by some as being too drab and too dark and the wrong style of camouflage.

Falcon comes with the following gear and accessories: a shotgun with foldout stock, a field backpack, a knife, a removable neckerchief and a removable beret. Here's hoping Hasbro eventually releases a new and improved head for a future Falcon figure, with most fans speculating it will be either a Retro Falcon or Night Force Falcon.





Using the poll options, rate the figure on a scale of 1 to 10, a 1 being a total miss and a 10 being plastic perfection, based on what you feel the figure deserves. Ratings should take overall design, sculpt, paint apps and paint deco, accessories and articulation into consideration.

I gave him a 7. Knocked off 2 points for the head and another for the drab and very hard to see camo paint deco. Another couple of nitpicks would be his neckerchief fits a little poorly and his backpack is too heavy and causes balance issues while posing him.


I did the following to mine and would give him a 9 or 10 after the upgrades.

- Replaced the head with a spare Kamakura head (had to shave his hair down so the beret would fit and repainted it dark brown.

- Repainted his entire body NATO green and re-applied a tiger stripe style camouflage so the camo would show up better and just look better.

- Added some minor paint details on his belt and harness gear, his backpack and boots as well as giving him a sidearm and a holster.

- Gave him a spare Cover Girl shotgun

- Recut his neckerchief a bit so it fits lower on his shoulders and fits over his collar better now.

Six, because aside from the terrible head and the not-great folding shotgun stock, he's OK. If I'm grading him compared to every other Classified figure and not in the abstract, he would probably be closer to a two. If I could do it over again, I would have cancelled my preorder for this figure.

I gave him a three. He has similar problems as my Cover Girl figure, with joint looseness, and his face is even worse. I've seen some pretty bad looking Cover Girl faces, but mine wasn't terrible. And the folding stock on his shotgun is also awful. It's just unfortunate this wave had to screw up two of the better characters, in Falcon and Cover Girl.

I had no idea Falcon even had any QC issues. I ended up picking up 4 Falcons total (3 for customs), but none of them had any QC issues whatsoever and were super solid feeling and had really tight joints. The head on the other hand was a total bust. Hoping he gets a better head sculpt with better paint apps in the future.

I gave him a 6. The body and accessories are great. Well the shotgun isn't. I replaced it with an extra Covergirl shotgun. I've been putting off getting a Star Wars Black Series Rampart figure to do a head swap with. I've seen lots of people doing that on facebook.

Hopefully they release a Night Force version of Falcon that has a totally new and better head.

The body of the figure is okay, painted extremely plain.
I took one look at falcon's face and went.

His face looks like a cartoon character because it has incredible lips syndrome, a odd shape and is unpainted in various areas that needed it.

Then you count the bad QC, the floppy shotgun and I give it a 4. 4 Being the body is okay, but the overall package is not worth it.

I feel bad that I voted a '1'. I only do that because he's easily the worst Classified figure put out so far. I have no desire to buy him.

Yes, the head is terrible - but everyone has discussed that to death.

What is worse is the 'smooshy' sculpting on his body and detailing. It almost looks like he was sculpted, then it melted slightly before the tooling was made.

Then, he has some of the worst paint choices of any figure. Dark, dark, dark. No contrast. No saturation.

And don't get me started with his 'skirt' / belt sculpting. They just phoned it in. Sloppy all the way around. Just a bad, bad figure.

I gave him a 7. I wanted to vote him higher, especially since Falcon was my favorite Joe as a kid. My only two issues were the shotgun choice and the noggin - the first a minor issue, but the last a major one. The headsclupt isn't as bad in person as those early pics, but he just didn't "feel" like Falcon with that noggin, which, frankly, would've been a better choice for Grunt. After giving him the Black Series Rampart head (shout-out to RazorMurphy for the idea) and Covergirl's shotgun, he feels like a solid 10 now. A shame he didn't come that way.
