Yeah this all day! I bought 50 retro troopers and 25 officers. Only thing I saw peg warm was Stalker and o face Duke for good reason. Stalker shouldn?t have been distributed the way he was. That?s my favorite version of Stalker and bought 3. Don?t need 50 hahahaha

Personally I?m constantly buying newer 1/18 figures from Joy Toy, Boss Fight, Marauders, some eagle force, chicken fried toys, etc? I don?t think there is a large base of people collecting multiple POC cobra infantry though. I think the market for 4 inch is more than alive and well. It simply depends on the types of figures you have. Also, I have wheels or tracks enough for all my 4 inch army to ride. I suspect most of the 6 inch armies are ?foot? soldiers.

That's one of the misconceptions I see on here that the retro line didn't do well, it did for the first three waves.

Here's the waves by figure

W1 Baroness, Storm Shadow, Snake-Eyes

W2 Destro, Roadblock, Scarlett

W3 Duke, Lady Jaye, Cobra Commander

I'd find these getting put out by stockers 9 in the morning, I would check 12 to find they were completely gone, evbven the vehicles were sold out.

Wasn't until the last two waves they clogged pegs, there were 30 or so of the blue HISS in topstock. There's several of the 1-3 waves figures I only saw once or twice, usually they were gone by the time I looked for them.

**I'm one of the folks here who couldn't find the Striker in stores, don't think they ever hit my stores but I got it thanks to BBTS.

Availability must have been severely limited in my area. I didn't even know about Retro being a thing here until W3. I didn't really follow this forum prior to discovering that line had already been out for a while. Still annoyed about missing out.

There were some good figures (the reissues, Roadblock, Stalker, Scarlett's head), but the Cobra Troopers, Officers, and that Fang Pilot were not great, to put it mildly. If you really want to go for ME, I'd say go for PoC - 50th. Many of them, save the con and club exclusive figures, can be had for close to what the Retro series was retailing at.

Until retro ME the last figures I bought were from the 50th on release so that's how long my hiatus was, I wasn't following Classified so I think I just stumbled on the ME figure one morning.

Waves 1-3 were very difficult to get-took me checking every morning to find the ones I did. I'm sure I only found Scarlett twice because by noon everything was sold out. SE/SS I think I found once.

I don't recommend them though except for SS/SE/Scarlett, if you truely want good ME figures go for POC/30th instead. The Duke/LJ figures were horrible.

Agree on the Fang Pilot but I personally thought the Trooper and Officer were really good figures. But to each his own!

I've noticed the market for even 30th, POC & 50th figures is not as high as it was a few years ago. Just saw a carded 30th Lifeline go for $28. I feel a couple of years back that figure would have fetched around $70. Seeing things like make me want to once again revisit some of the better figures from the ME to once again build up a small solid collection.
