I'm one of the few who doesn't dislike the movie figures, I only disliked how they clogged up distribution but I find some of them to fun fun

The movie figures aren't bad looking. It's just that the movie itself was bad and nobody wants to buy figures from a movie they didn't enjoy.

I didn't care how some of the movie figures had less articulation that a normal Classified figure. But they aren't bad figures by any means at all. Like you said, the movie got a lot of negative reviews so the figures suffered.

I think some of the early figures from the line are also really good (Wave 1 and Wave 2), but I guess the sci-fi gear is enough to make a lot of people actively dislike them. Like Gung-Ho is not a bad figure at all. It just wasn't the Gung-Ho a lot of fans wanted.

If you grew up on v1 or v2 Hawk and someone said Armor Tech or Battle Commander Hawk is the permanent new Hawk, that would be a tough sell. And vice versa. Compared to what we're seeing in the line now, the movie figures were bare bones. I definitely prefer that Scarlett, but it's only because it has a better headsculpt. The first wave Scarlett looks de-aged. I didn't mind the sci-fi upgrades.

Yeah, I hated that first Scarlett. I'm glad they came out with the field update one, because I didn't want to buy the origins version, due to limited accessories. I do prefer the Samara Weaving head sculpt, though. I almost bought her anyway, just to put her head on the field update's body, but I decided to wait and see if they did a retro Scarlett and I'm glad I did.

Interestingly enough, over here in the UK, Origins Scarlett is the only figure that never really got clearanced. I've seen the other four all for under a tenner, but not Scarlett.

I've seen/bought the Scarlett/Samara head from sellers on eBay for just a few dollars. BBTS had her for $9.99 US atm, but I imagine the shipping cost will overpower that option.

I swapped the Origins head onto my repainted 05 Scarlett and it does look really good. The regular Scarlett head is not necessarily bad and is actually a great sculpt, but it does look way too young. If you want Scarlett to be 18-22 yrs old the 05 head is fine.
