Updated the list. Kind of crazy we're fast approaching 150 figures! Wave 16 and Gnawgahyde will get us to 139.

I think it just highlights the limitations of self-selecting online polling like this. He's still one of the most expensive and sought-after figures even after the TF and retro releases. Probably doesn't help that the superior field variant version doesn't have its own vote, so everyone is judging it based on the gold paint version that most hate.
But since this site is mostly old-school fans, stuff that hews closer to the old ARAH aesthetic get boosted and stuff with a more modern take drop low, regardless of the quality of the figures themselves. Personally, I'm annoyed that obviously compromised stuff like the Trubble Bubble, which had a ton of QC issues and a bloated pricepoint, or the second Firefly that can't even stand straight for most people, are not near the bottom of the list. But hey, they look like the 80's toys, top 50 for both! Sorry, I was referring to the Retro Duke, not #04 Duke. The poll for Duke (#04) does mention, shows and describes the field variant. I honestly think most people took the field variant into account while voting for that figure. You're not wrong about the more classic looking figures tending to be more popular, but I think the figures that have a decent amount of modern updates like Serpentor or Major Bludd are some of the most popular Classified figures. Then you have figures like Tomax and Xamot that are pretty much 100% faithful to their original designs without any real changes, and they are ranked a bit lower and were not as universally loved. About Firefly, when we did the poll on here about the Firefly issue, 36% of us said they had good Firefly figures without QC issues. Now that meana 64% got bad ones lol which is definitely not good (it's way too many!) lol But I think 36% is enough to where over 1/3 of us got a perfectly good #84 Firefly and could actually give it an 8, 9 or 10 vote. Hence why that figure still ranks fairly high on here. That figure is pretty darn sweet if you do get a good one (or get a less severe figure and fix him so that he isn't loose)!

Thats a fair assessment i only had issues with three figures One was my tf recondo his right leg where it connects to the hip sits weird its a flaw in the plastic of the leg itself . My 3rd snow jobs left inner hip/socket wasnt hollow enough for the ball to go in and connect properly . So it looked like it was dislocated . The other was a range viper his left hip didnt want to stay in the socket so i used some liquid green stuff to make the cavity smaller and viola its all good now , so out of over 200 almost 300 classified figs i have 3 had an issue , Thats not bad and thats a lot better than a lot of you reported , i feel like a was kucky with my purchases and hope it continues ..

I've had 3 Classified figures that were pretty much QC fails and "bad". My first Cover Girl had a completely fused upper left arm. There wasn't even a joint, like the plastic had melted together or something. Also had an insanely loose Arctic Storm Shadow (probably as loose as some Fireflys were on here where he just flopped around) at the ab-crunch and waist. Also had a Cobra Island Firefly with a messed up left hand joint (plastic was misshapen and wouldn't articulate properly). Out of about 200 Classified purchases, I guess that isn't too bad (about a 1.5% rate or 1 out of every 100 figures).

Lots of voting activity and a lot of movement on the list this week! Just in time to kick off the summer, polls for Night-Creeper, Doc, Torch, Jinx, Gnawgayde, Retro Beach Head, the Retro Eel and the Retro Snow Serpent will all be going up in the next week!
Glad you didn't either! Yeah, I wanted to replace mine with another but don't want to risk buying another with the same issue. Especially since he isn't just a $25 figure.

Also, thanks for getting these POLLS up for each figure. I love seeing what people think of each one. I have found things out about figures I missed, and I think I have helped a few people find things they missed. Keep up the great work!

Totally agree, he was the first Classified Figure I never even displayed. Had a hell of a time getting him to stand, his feet were too shallow for the display stands I have and I just could not get him to pose for anything. Love the SS V1 and cannot wait for V2.

Love doing it and glad it has come in handy for you. It's a lot of fun and very informative to hear everyone's takes and observations on these figures for sure.

He commands it! lol I always wonder if anyone will ever dethrone the Cobra Emperor.
These are the guys I that I personally think could potentially knock him out of that top apot: Iron Grenadier Leader Destro with Despoiler Road Pig Nemesis Enforcer Golobulus Battle Armor Cobra Commander Cesspool Of course there are a bunch of other characters/figures that could reach #1. That just shows how deep GI Joe is and how good this line is too.
