Interesting to see how high up retro Snakes and Storm Shadow are. I mean, they're great figures, but nowheres near the top for me considering the stellar year we've had. Thanks for compiling DB!

Thanks DFender! I feel the same way, but also admit those two are my favorite versions of those characters in Classified too. I guess it makes sense they are rated so favorably on here since they were so well-received, but I would personally rank some of the new figures we got higher than the retros.

By the way, I was working on a special animated GIF 2023 roll call for the list using the great Hasbro photos before I realized they never did ones for the HISS Tank figures (save for thr Driver). If I can get Tony's permission to use the site database photos for those figures, I'll post the roll call. It's cool seeing the actual figures instead of just a list.

Jury is still out on my favorite Snake Eyes. But right now the Fortnite version is my display Snakes. While I love the Commando look, I have always leaned to the ninja side for him.

I don't have the retro Storm Shadow. Maybe this is a sign that I need him. Walmart just never shipped my order and I never got around to reordering him. That and I had seen too many negative reviews about the face printing at the time that I felt it wasn't worth it for the different arm guards. However, I do have 3 copies of the standard Storm Shadow and he's one of my most favorite figures in the line.

Regarding the Hasbro Photos, are you referring to the official product photography? I thought they did release some final images of the full Hisstank package a few months back during SDCC.

We now have to go 40 FIGURES deep just to get out of the 9's. That's incredible.

I hope Lenny and team see this list - because they deserve to feel a little of the admiration that everyone has for these little pieces of plastic.

That makes sense if v2 is your favorite version of SE. Retro SS' eyes are not quite as well done as the regular version's, but it isn't bad. Just not nearly as good. I ended up painting my regular version's head brilliant white and stuck it on the retro figure. I prefer the retro figure over the regular one, but both are stellar figures.

Thanks for the help! Yeah, I used the official Hasbro diorama photos but for whatever reason the retro CC, Gunner and Tactician were never photographed in the dios (only the Driver). Maybe they weren't ready yet when they did the photo shoot? If Tony will okay it, I may use his photos of those figures and superimpose them using the Hasbro backgrounds from their dio pics.
