TRAVEL LOG 08-12-23
I have escaped my confinement of the toy shelf. As much as I will miss my buddies Recondo and Bazooka - I am eager to begin a new adventure. They don't call me Outback for nothing.



I was quickly confronted with my first challenge. The ferocious North American Jungle-Peckers! Lucky for me, the majority of them were distracted by their lunctime routine - and the others were blinded by their head-feathers. I slipped by almost unnoticed.



I don't know if I will ever see my home again. So long, my faithful companions - you've been good to me!



My first stop. I visited a local ice cream parlor to get some nourishment for the road. So far, no sightings of Cobra anywhere. Ohio does have a Springfield though... I'll have to steer clear.



I may have spoken too soon. Is that a Cobra Trooper I see behind me? I believe the small, fluffy dog is just a disguise and a diversion. I will investigate further.

I have discovered an entire BUILDING in the shape of a basket! Diabolical! This is indeed a Cobra plot. Who in their right mind would build such a thing? I must report to headquarters ASAP. This has to be a Destro-funded operation.

I am prepared for my cross-country trip to California. End transmission.

Great pics, Cap. I somehow missed that they'd been posted until now. I just got word from Outback that he's in the area and ready to do a bit of exploring tomorrow, will post pics in a couple of days.

---------Chapter 2: The Search for Snake Eyes' Cabin--------


Having made the long journey from Ohio to the Sierra Nevada Foothills in California, I immediately set out for the high country to find Snake Eyes' cabin, where a few old friends are waiting for me.
I need to be alert at all times, the rattlesnakes are not the most dangerous Vipers in these woods:


This looks like a nice spot to take a quick break. Not much up here except the view:




After an arduous journey, I stumbled across a beautiful lake nestled among the pines:


I've finally arrived. Everyone's so much shorter than I remember...



I swear I've seen that guy somewhere before...:
