Revealed at SDCC with huge fanfare, the Cobra Emperor is a Pulse Con exclusive and was released in December 2022. Say what you will about Serpentor, but there is no mistaking that this is a figure (and vehicle) that the Joe team at Hasbro really put a lot of passion into. Fans agree, he has an amazing sculpt full of great details and is one of the best Classified figures released up to this point. Serpentor is also another great example of when the Hasbro Joe team hits a home run by combining the original figure's basic design elements, and also giving the character a modern update. Serpentor comes in special packaging that showcases his backstory of how Dr. Mindbender extracted DNA from various rulers and conquerors from the past and created a monster of a "man" that would become Cobra's new leader. The Hasbro team gave Serpentor alternate headdresses so fans can display him any way they want. Serpentor also comes with his iconic Air Chariot, which by itself is worth purchasing this set for. The Air Chariot comes with tons of detail (and even a little articulation) and is a great update to the original vehicle.
Serpentor comes loaded with the following weapons and accessories: an Air Chariot, (2) removable gun turrets for the Air Chariot with (2) removable ammo belts, (2) removable cobra snake cowls (one hooded and one fanned), a removable cape, a gladius sword, a snake spear (from the cartoon in which it turns into a deadly spear), a ceremonial serpent staff with removable cobra headpiece and hidden blade underneath, (2) removable wrist claws (one with retracted claws, one with the claws protracted) and a pet king cobra snake (Bucephalus, named after Alexander the Great's horse). Using the poll options, rate the figure on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being a total miss and a 10 being plastic perfection, based on what you feel the figure deserves. Ratings should take overall design, sculpt, paint apps and paint deco, accessories and articulation into consideration. Thanks for voting and Yooo Joe!!! Easy 10. Only thing they could maybe add would be if it included Zartan's arrow lol. It's perfection.

Pretty much a perfect 10. Absolutely amazing toy and worth every single penny!
I think my one and only complaint about this figure is that it would have been great to have gotten an alternate head with him snarling/screaming. I am pretty hopeful if and when he gets a mainline release, he will have a different head with a more enraged and emotional looking face compared to the somewhat stoic one we got here.

I hesitated - but it's impossible not to give him a 10. I don't particularly like the character - but he's done with such love and attention. Two heads, the chariot, the packaging. Ten all the way.
* (I will note that I do not own Serpentor. I bought him - opened him to admire him - and sent him on to a friend who missed out on the short window to order him. Just not my cup of tea.) |

I really, really want this version as a mainline release. Come on, give the comic fans some love! Classified has skewed heavily towards the cartoon - time to balance it out. |

They hit all the marks of the o-ring era but that means the air chariot still looks like cheap plastic.
