Yes. This is the pickiest of nits.

It's a good point. There have been a lot of redesign choices in "Classified" that don't make a hell of a lot of sense, like Duke coming with metal shin protectors (and no other armour whatsoever) with bullet impact marks (apparently some gormless Viper was aiming at Sgt. Hauser's ankles for some reason and actually managed to score a couple of hits).

Same. I loathe the gauntlets and the snake-themed swords and consequently passed up about a dozen opportunities to purchase this figure in-store in favour of waiting for the retro version.

10 for me. Love the update and really like the gauntlets. After seeing reviews of the retro one, I actually feel this is the better one of the two. He's one of my favorite figures..not sure if I have one favorite figure...because I never felt that was a kid. Always had a bunch of faves lol. I don't like the hood, but that is easily remedied. The wave with him, Spirit and the Cobra Officer is the best wave they've released so far.
