The B.A.T. is a great translation of the RAH figure and a highlight of the line. Excellent army builder and a figure I think no Cobra collection is complete without.

My only critique would be I would have liked to have seen a Cobra logo on the removable chestplate.

Kinda shocked to see so many 10s. The overall sculpt and articulation are nearly perfect (head is a little small), and the accessories are great (glad the battle damaged parts weren't relegated to a completely separate release), but it's lacking in two incredibly important areas for it to feel complete.

No clear chest plate is insane imo. That was such an iconic element of the design, and to use the excuse of realism for its exclusion feels like a cop-out. No other element of the design was updated so I don't see how that makes sense, and it's just too plain looking, with no detail whatsoever (apart from the battle damaged one). We've gotten plates with printed logos and extra detail on the other versions, so it's sort of amended at this point if you bothered to mix and match, but it really should've been here. And yeah, you could just leave the chest plate off to show the detail, but now you have holes in the chest, and even the internal bits feel a little flat and could've used more depth.

The other big issue is the lack of paint. The visor and boots feature a really nice shiny silver, and it would've been awesome to see it in more places, especially the arms. The dull plastic just looks unfinished. It's a shame it took like 3 more variants for them to finally get around to fixing this stuff, but it is what it is.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the dull grayish silver either and ended up repainting mine true silver and added a very subtle black wash.

Agreed that it took them so many tries to even get it this far it?s like trying to get the perfect Vader buy 20 of them over 30 years & we?ll get it close for you

Man that true silver is more like true silver bling it?s very nice not subtle @ all like the wash I had to magnify just to see the details .. it looks good I only have a dozen or so bats btwn the 4 versions we have so far and I do like that look it?s like factory but Cali style ..
