Released in February 2021 as part of Wave 3, Hasbro listened to fans and gave us the Cobra Infantry after the Target exclusive Cobra Island Cobra Trooper (#12) became so incredibly difficult for most collectors to find, let alone army build. In order to differentiate the Infantry from the Trooper release, he has a slightly different paint deco with most of his black paint apps and some gear being switched to navy blue for this release.

The Cobra Infantry comes with the following gear and accessories: a rifle, (2) pistols, a removable helmet and a knife. Collectors should take note that unlike the mainline Trooper, the Cobra Infantry figure did not come with the removable rank badge arm gauntlet or his night-vision goggles.





Using the poll options, rate the figure on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being a total miss and a 10 being plastic perfection, based on what you feel the figure deserves. Ratings should take overall design, sculpt, paint apps and paint deco, accessories and articulation into consideration.

He's a 9 to me. Love him and being able to actually army build him means I don't notice my one Target version that looks a bit different.

He's a solid update of the original, and I hope they change the ladies coming to more match him and not look more retro than him.

I give this a 7, since I gave the CI Trooper an 8 and he has more accessories. Not much more to say about this figure that I didn't already say for the CI Trooper.

I gave him a 7. As far as design goes, what I dislike the most is the two pistol holsters. I don't take off points for lack of/few accessories since I use my own.

I like that he was available for me at just slightly above retail on ePay and thus I have the most of this figure as far as troop builders goes. The CI Trooper on the other hand is pricey and harder to find so I only have one.

A very good figure. The CI version was too hard to get for me, but i got several of the regular release.

Initially I thought I would prefer the CI Trooper to the Infantry figure. I actually like the blue highlights of the Infantry figure over black of the CI Trooper. The Sci-Fi armor elements that I see as a drawback on the Joes actually work on these guys. I have no use for the Nerf weapons and have replaced them. I removed the awkward knife sheath, inverted it, and glued it back on. This works much better for me. Though he's not perfect, he's certainly close. 9

I mean I have 12 of it so, u know, I like it just fine. :P It's a really nice update on the original, and still looks cool en masse. Happy to have him!

Not a fan of the shin greaves. I also think the chest armor could be styled better.
