Released in February 2021, Hasbro did a great job at combiningg the original Zartan's design while also adding just the right amount of touches of modern aesthetics. Zartan was released as part of WAVE III.



Using the poll options, rate the figure on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being a total miss and a 10 being plastic perfection, based on what you feel the figure deserves. Ratings should take overall design, sculpt, paint apps and paint deco, accessories and articulation into consideration.

Yeah, that annoyed me a little too. I ended relocating his knife sheath down to his right boot, which is also more ARAH accurate anyways.

I gave this figure a 9. The MOD version is a perfect 10 for me though.

I only voted Zartan a '7' to leave room for the Deluxe Zartan to be voted higher.

6. I hated the way his accessories go on and fall off.

And his mask not having eyes is...pointless as a disguise. Been meaning to put that extra Rebel Hoth Trooper face on him and seeing if it works.

This figure is a 9, for me. Another near-perfect representation of the OG Zartan figure from the ARAH line in the 80s. The only reason this figure gets a 9, rather than a 10, is because the MoD version exists and I couldn't give them both the same grade. Other than that, I see no flaws in this figure.

I don't like how easily his hood and backpack fall off. He LOOKS great, but the functionality isn't quite there.

The sculpt is great. But brown and black are Major Bludd's colors. This is almost more like the Funskool figure. The MOD figure corrected it, but gave him the wrong bow.

Voted him a 10 because Zartan is my favorite figure of the entire line. Yes, even over Serpentor.

We've seen a few different design philosophies throughout the line, and Zartan best represents the one I love most. Taking the original design, and enhancing it with new details that add character to the figure while completely retaining the elements of the original.

This particular Zartan,or all three in general? For me, the deluxe version can't be topped. Now they need to pick up the pace and get me the rest of my Dreadnoks.
