Just opened my new Haslab Sky Striker today and I've been noticing the front landing gear does not stay within the body of the airframe, when it's on the flight display stand. Does any one else have this issue?
The tail hook is pushed all the way forward, and the front gear just doesn't want to stay inside :(. I've tried pushing the tailhook more forward, and as soon as I let go, it droops. The Rear gear are fine. Any tips/ suggestions would be great- about to email Hasbro C.S. to see what they say. UPDATE: I created 3D printed inserts to fix the issue: direct drop in XYplane: Polygon (Trapezoid): 33.5mm length1, 31.5mm length2, 3.17mm length3, 3.748mm length4. Extrude in Zplane: 3.2mm. my Thingiverse page is now Live: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5839555 you can download the file now and, if you want to print, choose your 3D printing service of choice. (i.e. https://www.shapeways.com/) instructions: 1. loosen the two screws by the "Jack Pad Fitting" 2. Insert prints into the grooves, following the orientation of the left and right slanted portions. 3. re-tighten the screws. 4. the gear comes down (with a little more friction) but now firmly stays up. Edit2: For the record, Hasbro C.S. did offer to send me a full exchange, I opted not to since the other jet might have the same issue. It's been a few weeks of handling the jet with my 3d printed fix and no problem.

I can confirm a similar issue with mine. Let us know what customer service says. I did notice that the panel around the front landing gear looks like it can be removed. I am not brave enough to attempt it though as I do not want to break anything.

Yeah - mine does it too. I have to really snap the tail hook forward and then it seems to stay up, but any little movement will allow it to fall out again.
Meanwhile if you have the gear extended and try to roll it on a surface, they collapse. |

My friend has the same issue.
It looks like it's pretty common. |

I've opened a Customer Service ticket with Hasbro... They have said it will take ~72 hrs for an official response..
I have a few ideas of how to remedy the solution, but it involves either a rubber band and looping it around the two fuselage mounting holes inside the cockpit area and attaching it to the interior black brace/mechanism that pushes/pulls the landing gear pieces, or repositioning the attachment point for the arrestor hook such that the black brace/mechanism is pushed more forward, keeping the gear up. I'll post up a reply after I get it.. thanks everyone for their replies so far...

I've got the same issue. If you push on the tail hook it pulls it back up into position. I'm wondering if there's a tolerance off there. I'm not exactly brave enough to take this guy apart to look.

Me either. I?ve fiddled around a little with the panel that surrounds the front landing gear and visually it looks like it should snap off exposing the landing gear mechanism. It?s certainly not a deal breaker for me, more of an adhd thing.

Nothing a little epoxy and a bag of cement can't fix.

Have you heard of people using clear nail polish to ?thicken? parts on hinges/canopies for Joe vehicles. I know at some point I came across someone who did that for some vehicle to give a canopy or gun mount a little more stability rather than have it loosely connected and not able to stay in a certain position. Epoxy might do the same thing.
