Why are they painted the way they are? Are they supposed to be bright? I've never seen glasses that color. Or, is it supposed to be her skin? But then, it wouldn't match the rest of her skin.

Also, why no freshening up of the paint colors, like on the CC figure? It's just a straight reissue of the original.

1) It's probably a simple paint error. They didn't find the right shade to match the plastic the rest of the face was molded in.

2) Duke and CC are the only of the new "retro o-ring" figures that deliberately differ from the originals. The rest (Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Cobra Officer, Cobra Trooper, Stinger Driver, Stalker) have all been re-creations of the original figures.

#1 is surprising on such an expensive set. I don't need Megatron, so if the Baroness is defective, why did I get the set?

I assumed someone made a mistake, or miscommunication somewhere along the line and they painted the glasses wrong and they had to fix it like that.

It's probably supposed to look like her eyes and flesh seen through glass lenses but it didn't work out.

I did see a custom where someone put the Baroness Super 7 ReAction head on this Baroness fig and it is an improvement

It's probably the same reason the Cobra Officer and Stinger Driver can't fully bend their knees. Switching factories from China to Vietnam has led to some QA issues not yet worked out.
