I just realized something:
OP, it sounds as though you're actually after modern updates in a similar vein to how 25th was, and not o-ring- am I (re)reading that correctly? At first I thought you meant the current Retro o-ring line, but upon looking again, I'm not so sure. if that's the case, many of the figures you're after are actually available in figure form "thanks" to the Collector's Club... though if you want those, be prepared to sell a kidney to finance them.

I'm familiar with the Collector's club figures, but have 0 interest in them. I remember when they were coming out & they were both expensive & a very difficult to get ahold of. My reason for mentioning the 25th Ann. line is that this was purely sold @ retail, which I prefer. I did have good luck getting many of these figures/vehicles, as well as most of the most recent Retro line (Wal-mart exclusive). Quote:
I'm glad the Stinger Retro sold out so quickly. Let Hasbro know that Classified isn't everything, and us Old Heads still want the old stuff! My Top 5 (since we have a FANG, HISS and Stinger now) would be Zartan, Serpentor, Night Raven, Rattler, and a Water Moccasin. Obviously, I wouldn't say no to a Terrordrome, but that's more of a Haslab thing.
Yes, the Classified figures look amazing. However, they are impossible to track down in stores, and are very expensive online. Also, it's unlikely that the 6" line will ever produce as many vehicles/sets as the 3.75" line due to the prohibitive cost(s) & the much larger size. Primarily I want MOC's so itll be interesting to see what they do with the packaging. Because of the packaging change, 2023 will likely be loose figures for me, which is a shame, but ill take them.
I hope they do a few vehicles cos Ill happily display the vehicles loose with the packaging. But also I might not buy everything anyway cos I wont have the space. |
