The Whale was one of my favourite vehicles in my collection as a kid. It would be fun to buy one to replace my old one, which was last in my possession in the mid-90's.

Definitely, but as mentioned a few posts above, $400 isn't unreasonable for the original. Not saying I'd agree with Hasbro charging that much, but just that I could potentially be preyed upon up to that amount before I said the hell with it and picked up an OG.

If the unlocks were worthy, I might even be willing to get suckered for $500- willpower is not my strong suit where things like this are concerned.

If they did a WHALE would you want them to release the night force version (Night Striker) as well? I think the only Night Force vehicle that ever got a re-release was the Night Boomer. Does one need both??

This is me too. Same reason I didn?t back the Skystriker. Already have a few. It?s tough for the o-ring Haslabs I think. The stuff that moves the needle are the once produced items that people want new again. But some already have it and don?t want to buy it again. But I?m not sure a previously unproduced item moves the needle more either. Just my two cents.
