Considering the size of the Classified HISS , I think you could see a HasLab WHALE come in around $350 to $400, since there wouldn't be electronics.

No idea. But I'd be fine without them on an O-ring re-issue. My biggest concern would be shoring up the fragile points on the WHALE.

Yeah, that's what I would want, a complete redesign of all the stuff that makes the WHALE such a fragile PITA. I think if they were going to do stuff like this, they better fix what broke. Like, if they were to ever re-release the Moray, I'd want them to redo how the top attaches to the hull.

They have working lights and sounds in 20 dollar toys, so I don't think the electronics add too much to the overall cost.

SKYSTRIKER sets the precedent; redo iconic classic vehicles from the ground up with modern engineering to fix fragility and meet current standards, small design enhancements to fix flaws i.e. separating wings and landing gear, and cool embellishments -- like blast effects, ladders, and other small stuff.
WHALE and RATTLER will both benefit greatly from this, and have to be the next in line above anything else should O-ring get another shot. |
