Dude, all toy collecting (and probably all collecting in general) is paying money for memories.

Why that line was horrible. I mean I hate the gangly, rubbery ME figures, but they were just re-releases of figures you could?ve bought a couple of years earlier on new cards. That line was destined to fail the moment they went away from o rings or at least new sculpted ME figures.

Not necessarily. A brand new line of figures doesn't have that nostalgia as they say.

Hence why I said improve it. If they would have put more thought into the line itself it would not have been that bad. They haven't done o-rings since the 2th stuff was out. At least in retail and since they started doing the pulse stuff.

Grown adults buying toys is always rooted in nostalgia in one way or another. Sometimes it's just the nostalgia of childhood itself and the memories of playing with toys as a child.

Each his own. I don't get caught up in that. Time has come and gone. I collect the stuff cause it looks cool and it was fun. If trying to get the memories of a child I would have tried to get everything I had then which isn't really the case. Even if it was I'm not dropping 40 dollars for a figure cause of a new oring when I could go and get the same memory on ebay for less for roughly the same one and without the hassle.

the ME retro ones are hideous. Ill gladly take QC issue problems with the new O-ring line any day. lol. I have the stormshadow and snake eyes set and they are pretty awesome. so im very much looking forward to getting the new officer/trooper 2 pack. and dont say its cheaper getting them on Ebay because its not. to get a mint trooper or officer your looking to spend $40-50 each.... thats nearly double what Hasbro is charging for brand new figures with way more accessories.

I didn't say a mint figure I said roughly and its the actual old school back in the day figure. Just looked and it is like 20 which is what one of the new ones cost singly but the plastic quality is better. If I want a better oring I can get that at home depot for like 25 cents a pop.
