I don't mean like the vintage o-ring Joes. I think we all know that era can't be duplicated.
But do you think the Classifies will increase in value over the years or become like the 1990's Star Wars figures that no one really wants? I'm genuinely curious to see what people think about it. If they'll just keep or even lose some value over the years, there's not much point in buying more than one of each to have an open and sealed version. Maybe it's too early to tell but we can guess. And, in general, those markets are VASTLY larger than they are 25 years later. The only reason the figures have garnered any value is because of the last 25 years of attrition to the supply. The vehicles have fared better due to the fact that vehicles (as a whole, especially for the 3.75" segment) have been declining for years. Prices of the more recent stuff have gotten high enough that people are now seeking older stuff for better prices. Which is, in turn, driving prices higher for those older pieces.

My god they were hideous. Some were really good though and still aren't going for much more than the original price 25 years ago. |

That said... like a previous poster mentioned- I suspect it will be like every other modern 6" line. Marvel Legends & Black Series being the most comparable. More folks will get in the line, some of the early figures will be worth money. But current Hasbro is much more aggressive about reissues than they were 5-10 years ago too. So I wouldn't expect any $100 figures to stick around long. |

I'm currently pricing up that era. POTF2 & EP1 carded figures are still $3-4 carded with the exception of maybe 10% of the line. They sell steady... but they're not worth a ton.

I haven't looked into it for a while. I'll probably sell most of mine as a lot. They've been in boxes for over 20 years and I don't care about displaying them.

Aside from certain select army builders, I just get one figure now. I like messing around with them and trying to get them nice and loose 😜 I'm into Classified as much for the experience of participating in and discussing a current GI Joe line, as for the physical possession of the figures themselves. Same will apply to the new O-ring.

I hope not because collector prices ruin the the very thing we all like to do. Collect
