Yeah I have plenty of sunk costs in the comic line too, but I'm willing to forgive that to get the stuff I didn't get earlier in the line. This is I guess the cost I paid for being born a couple years too late to get in on most of '82-84 and some of '85.

Just 10% larger would be perfect. Imo.

Yeah, that Col. Hawk head was painfully too small. But they got it right for Gen. Hawk. Such an awesome figure.

Modern Era all they way for me!!! Yes, they are a pain to pose at times, but you can make awesome dios with them, and they just look so much better than O-ring figures (to me at least).

The sculpt was perfect, the size was not. But jeeze, put that 10% bigger head on a recreated V1 body and you have a flawless updated Hawk. I put the "General" Hawk head on the '97 body, and it's one of my favorite figures ever. The more elaborate paint apps with that fantastic head...

Modern all the way. O-ring figures are a step backwards.

O-ring. They were far and away the best figures of their day. Modern era figures are like a tribute band version. They look great, but there’s so many other lines that look the same or better that they don’t stand out.

The same question was extensively discussed in earlier 2020 when rumors of Retro and evergreen first leaked.
Support was about equal for the two styles and it was obvious that both were viable. Unfortunately we’ll probably always be plagued with people hoping to eliminate the one they like less, though. |
