mcfarlane one is stupid, I understand the price on vintage, actually surprised issue 1 is not worth more but there are a tonne of them, but thats also true with most comics so who knows. Lots of speculation and hype going on in all facets of collectibles. It will correct, but lots is still priced within reason

Wow that does seem crazy. I notice a lot of that lately. Maybe over the last year a lot of these items were purchased and maybe it left a shortage. Still though…that’s a ton.

Prices skyrocketed when covid hit. I went to Joefest in 2020 and a guy was trying to sell me a complete Bugg for $70. I was all "oooh more than I wanna spend." The next year the damn thing was $175.
Way worse on eBay. That's why the new retro prices don't bug me. Trying to collect genuine vintage stuff has become a thing of the past for me simply bc I can't keep up with the prices. I am so glad I got my Terror Drome when I did. |

I was just there too! ToyPAlooza had a lot of great stuff, but almost all of it was overpriced. I did get a deal on two Marvel Legends when the guy saw they were from my daughter who was with me. Nice guy. But yeah, most prices were outrageous.

I think it's kinda crazy that the o-ring figures average about the same price as a classified figure!

I bought a few fave ARAH figures a few years ago, and recently looked at the prices now, and was shocked. I couldn't believe in that short of period of time that the prices had jumped that much. I think hasbro has seen this and the new o-ring figures are them capitalising on that market.
