Seems to me we should have a dedicated thread for the upcoming reissue (and beyond?) line; figures we want to see reissued, ones we want to see tweaked, and ones we want resculpted or fresh designs for. I can start:
Reissued: Zartan with those rare kneepads! Firefly, Snake Eyes ?85, Viper Tweaked: classic Scarlett with new head (commission Derek Rausch?s existing masterpiece?), Cobra trooper with new head, Cobra officer with new head. If doing the original 13, new heads for guys like Zap and Short Fuze like those rare prototypes. V1 or v2 Cobra Commander with improved heads. Resculpted: v1 Roadblock so that he has beefier proportions. Gliders that are toon sized and durable. |

I am in the camp of wanting the original figures to stay as they are, because that’s what attracts me to them. I think another reason for keeping the originals the same is that a lot of people are probably being brought back into collecting Joes because of the nostalgia of the original o-rings and the announcement of this new o-ring line, and a lot of people may not have their vintage ones anymore. Also sometimes trying to update face sculpts and make them more detailed and modern on vintage style figures can look off and mismatched.
During the Q&A Lenny mentioned that the plan was to keep the figures as close as possible to the originals, and just clean up some of the details a little, so they would be something like 98% 99% close to the originals… that’s my ideal scenario TBO. Just to be clear, everything I’m talking about would be within the original aesthetic

I would like, as someone else had mentioned on an other thread, them to be made as Mattel did with MOTU retro. And bring in characters that never had figures.

To be honest, I'm not digging those new heads. They are well done but they look out of place, like they sould be on ME figures. I get the old heads didn't look very good, but they fit into the line better imo.

1983- Cobra Commander and Troopers
all 1985-1986 figures- those were the best years in my opinion. Sgt Slaughter with Triple T. Alley Vipers, Shockwave, Headhunters, Nightforce figures

So long as Scarlett finally has holes in the feet I'll be happy. Otherwise keep them as close to original as possible please.
Figures I really want to see, all of the original 13 Joes and original 3 Cobras, plus a Marvel/Mass Device blue Baroness, and Mass Device Covergirl as well as the classic versions of both. ah hell, I want everything lol. Especially 82 to 84, those seem to be the most fragile figures now. A few standouts for me, Beachhead, Serpentor (if only to finally have a decent cape), Python Patrol, Slaughter's Marauders, Eco Warriors, 84 Duke (complete with American flag sticker}, Ripcord, Big Lob. I know the club made Big Lob, I have that O-ring figure. But Hasbro can do better. I would like to see them either include the extra parts to switch them between 82 and 83, or just make the straight arm 82 figures as well as the 83 versions. Same goes with those rare heads for Zap and the others, include them and the original 82 heads. Eventually I'd like to see them get around to comic and cartoon figures, but not starting out. Leave those for a few years down the road, but start that out with characters we never had. General Flagg, Colonel Sharp, Sparks, Joe green shirts (male and female) to name a few. |

Mentioned above, my #1 want are green shirts. Preferably matching the Sunbow colors aesthetic like the Super7 one. This would make me very happy and Hasbro would sell scores of them.

I don't know if I have many specific figures I'd like to see again but if they released a big set of the Sky Patrol figures, that would be cool. I doubt that is very likely but I'd love it.
