Was that done only for the comic book cover? They did alternates like that for a while, showing the action figure/card. |

EDIT: The Death Probe: They ever make a toy of that? If not, they should've.

I remember that. Not sure they made the toy.
https://thetoycollectorsguide.com/si...llar-man-1975/ Man, that link brings back sooooooooo many memories. Didn't have most of that stuff, but what I had was a LOT of fun. Not sure how it'd play to the younger crowd, and thus not worth the investment, but I'd love to see a dedicated line.

I've got one of the vinyl story albums signed by Mr. Majors. That and a copy of the original Cyborg novel. If a new show went all-out w/ future-tech but dug in deep to its '70s setting, I think it could be a fun re-visit - as that era still seems quite popular again. But, if Hollywood just wants to make fun of it, they'll kill their own darling.

I have a small scale truck ... maybe Hot Wheels size ... can't remember who made it though.
VEI also does well w/ old shows. Emily Blunt wasn't the best casting choice but the movie was enjoyable and I didn't think it offended the series. If anything, maybe a prequel of how the show came to be (and maybe there are two Jodies). VEI is great too, I don't know why I always forget them. I've got their Hunter complete set (Oft-forgotten, yet a long-running Stephen J Cannell show), and a few of their other offerings. They put out some good stuff. I think the movie was fun, despite odd casting. I think the biggest issues were terrible marketing and too much work to "pretty up" the stunts. Even when they were really doing cool stunts, it rarely looked real, similar to the motorcycle jump from MI7 (The BTS videos of the jump were better than the movie version). There wasn't any stunt in the Fall Guy film that looked as impressive as the best stuff from the original series, IMO. Quote:
I love the real "they actually built that" sci-fi vehicles, like this and the weird cars from the Logan's Run show. No matter how cheaply made, that thing is awesome. |

Well looks like people are starting to receive the Crimson Twins. Looking forward to more images.
I just received my W1 of the S7 line. I love them. Whilst they aren't perfect, they are excellent IMO. I am really impressed, and as a carded collector, the cards are such good quality. Its huge for me for there to be a continuing o-ring line, on the vintage cards. I cant wait to see what they have coming in the future. Last edited by 8BitLG; 10-21-2024 at 10:42 AM.. |
