I've been using screws from Toy_Man on ebay, I've no issues. They work just as advertised. I was having a heck of a time finding replacement screws for 82-84 Joes until I found his. Perfect on all the ones I've replaced, even the 82 figures.

I do apologize in advance if this sounds like sarcasm, but have you tried a shorter screw in the legs? Instead of 1/4" long, have you tried 3/16" long?
