No, they've shelved o-ring because Hasbro told the Joe crew they needed to share the budget with Classified which was siphoning too much.

The GI Joe team at Hasbro has all but confirmed that the O-rings were not something they were responsible for.

If you notice, nobody took responsibility during ANY of the livestreams for that line, they just were responsible for showing it off.

Think you're misunderstanding me, I'm not saying the same designers worked on both lines, I'm saying there isn't enough budget for multiple Joe lines.

What happened with that whole thing about Hasbro starting a new team that was solely dedicated to Retro brands separate from all the other brand teams?

Star Wars, G.I.Joe, Ghost Busters, Transformers and anything else with a Retro line was supposed to be transferred over to the new Retro team. I'm assuming that grand plan must have been thrown out along with everyone that was laid off.
