So with this new Gi Joe/Transformer cross over movie thing probably happening. It got me thinking. Will they start making movie accurate Transformer 1:18 scale vehicles and Joes to fit? If they did would they make the Gi Joe figures o-ring or ME? I would think they wouldn’t be the same as the two recent crossovers we got. Meaning Gi joe vehicles transforming into Transformer characters. I don’t know just thinking wild thoughts over here hahaha. That would be awesome if in The movie all the transformers were Gi Joe vehicles. That would be ideal but I doubt it. Mine that would be a dream come true.

one of the most irritating things about transformers toys for me is that they are all in different scales. motorcycles can be 1:18, but then, optimus prime is not. they had a 1:18 bumblebee, but prime was still not. i only collect the 1:18 motorcycles, but as i've said before in this thread - the average price for these is 25 bucks. and that's STUPID if you expect kids to buy these things. yeah sure, they have a new cartoon out now for 13 bucks. no motorcycles or 1:18 adjacent stuff yet! that 25 bucks was the price for entry level stuff before this new cartoon came out. seems like waves of cartoons for "less price" and then when the cartoon is done, the regular line that's only available is 25 bucks, and then a new cartoon "for less" and then when that's done, the regular line is still there for 25 bucks.
there's no way they're going to make a consistent scale gijoe/transformers line. gijoes will all be one size and transformers will be all over the place like usual. i'll eat at chick fil a if there's a hasbro, affordable, on the shelf 1:18 optimus prime cabover truck and/or rodimus, i believe that'll never happen so much i'd bet that. i dont like the idea of optimus being a gijoe vehicle (though a optimus rolling thunder is bad ass), i want this crazy big ass red semi to pull up and flip around transforming and chuckles goes nuts that a semitruck practically exploded into a robot that talks. just like the preview with beast wars. freakin optimus flips his shit out of truck mode and is like "cut the shit out dude." and everyone and primal is like "whoah" Last edited by THEDARKONE508; 06-02-2023 at 02:40 PM.. |

Just kidding. I liked M.A.S.K. as a kid but I think fans of both lines would riot if yet another scale was introduced. |

yeah, mask was another thing i was into as a kid, but it wasnt until i was into gijoe that i was upset that my joes didnt fit. that's where i figured out what the hell scale is and not all toylines are going to work together.
at least mask had the nuts to keep everything in scale with each other, whatever one that may have been (it's definitely not 1:25. put a mask figure in a 1:25 car. see what happens) |

So anyone think that maybe the O Ring line got put on hold because there might be more of a cross over of GI Joes and Transformers (as rumored from the movie) and so they don't want the sizes to conflict?
Sorta like how RoC totally drove out the 25th stuff in favor of it. Essentially no Retro dudes in favor of some sort of movie universe stuff. |
