My optimism is shot. I still think we'll at least get a Transformer set or two in the future, but I no longer expect it. The rumor came out so long ago, I'd be willing to believe tooling may not have been developed yet.

And as much as I'd love to point to successful Kickstarters like Longbow and Recall as "c'mon Hasbro, there's an audience", there aren't that many unique backers behind them. The new Legends of the Hidden Force is finding out that going niche (ninjas) limits that already limited audience.
