Well then, that would be awesome if Hasbro does mention something closer to the end of March. Otherwise, I figure the best chance of ever seeing one of these is a prototype on ebay in a few years ![]() To be honest, I'm only lukewarm on these products. I've just pinned some hopes on them since they'd indicate O-ring's re-launch isn't completely dead. I'm currently in the "denial" stage when it comes to Hasbro's O-ring plans. Interesting to see the 2-packs (besides SS/SE) still on Pulse even with the Warehouse sale. |

GI Joe lacks popular current media. Star Wars got pulled from the gutter by The Mandalorian. GI Joe took two steps back with Snake Eyes Origins.

I don't think it took two steps back. It just kinda stayed where it was. As I understood it, most audiences forgot all about Origins as they were making their way out of the theater.

Are we certain the "later this month" comment from Emily's IG wasn't only referring to Classified Range Viper and Big Ben?

That's how I am taking it. Seeing is believing for me at this point. With so many Joe livestreams completely ignoring the topic I've removed all expectations of any new o-ring stuff and if the line does indeed continue I will be pleasantly surprised. Not wasting anymore time/effort on "what ifs" nor am I going to speculate on things out of my control. If it happens great, if not Callsign: Longbow and Operation:Recall are still there.

I think Hasbro made a mistake trying to launch these O-Ring figures at roughly the same time Super7 started the GI Joe ReAction series. They shouldn't have licensed Joe to Super7 and should have instead marketed these more like the Marvel Legends or Star Wars "retro" lines...classic "explosion background" card art and O-Ring figures, single-carded. Probably still would have been $20 apiece but the nostalgia hit would have gone further. The two-pack format is just too damn expensive and doesn't really scratch that itch. So they have languished for a long time and probably damaged what little faith Hasbro suits had in the retro O-Ring line.

Yeah, that'd be my bet. I think there might be some Target event-thing, but I don't really keep up on this stuff and could be wrong about that. All I know is, my gut ain't saying anything about it (other than maybe we'll get Transformer x-overs), but until they drop dead/"hiatus" on us, it's in play. Hasbro may be shit when it comes to updating future plans, but they seem to always come right out and say when something's dead.
