I already explained they may be contractually obligated NOT to say anything. The silence may actually be a good thing because Hasbro always comes right out and says when something is dead. Sometimes, no news IS good news. But I think some of you just like to bitch and be miserable regardless. Buncha Charlie Browns.

They'd probably NEVER be straight up remakes. Look at the Star Wars Retro re-releases of the vintage figures. They have more detail and also softer sculpts than the original versions did. Star Wars fans are doing the same - complaining about why they just can't re-release all the old figures again. But there is zero way Hasbro would do that for any line. They'd likely have to make all new tooling, or scan in the older figures (hence supposedly the difference in the OG and new Retro sculpts in Star Wars) and why on earth would Hasbro invest that much into 3.75 figures when we know they cost nearly the same as 6" figures with way less profit? At this point, you just have to buy the old vintage figures with all their flaws, or the ones that came out in the late 90s/early 2000s that were re-releases. There is no reason why Hasbro should assume Retro would sell as a full line - Marvel retro hit clearance bad and are now on hold, Star Wars retro has all hit clearance minus the limited to Walmart or Target ones (which may just be because they didn't make enough of the latter). Yes, the vehicles did great...being the Stinger, and Skystriker funded. Because it's way harder to get the vintage vehicles intact than the figures intact, and for anything less than selling your first born. And last I looked the AWE Bumblebee and HISS Megatron didn't exactly sell out. Last edited by IzzyTipsy; 03-09-2023 at 11:40 AM.. |

Someone mentioned that Emily or the Pulse IG account mentioned more new "all this month" or "later this month" when promoting the Tuesday livestream.
I feel like a mark and a moron, but I'll wait out the rest of the month for anything around O-Ring. If they continue to pretend it doesn't exist, well...I guess what can I realistically do beyond mock those of you who are Waiting for Godot.

Its VERY annoying. I wish they could see that its treating fans and supporters with contempt. When they needed and wanted us to put our hands in our pockets to get their Skystriker project funded they were vocal. But now the flat out ignoring supporters is ignorant. They see all the o-ring comments on social media and YouTube, but they ignore.
When Marvel 3.75 ended recently Steve Evans went on Instagram to explain to the fans what was happening, as a courtesy to them. Apparently his colleagues don't feel like we are due the same. I would understand any business decision they make. I would understand if the aren't planning any more o-rings at all. I would understand if they choose to be silent for 9 months. Whatever, its a business. But would it really hurt them to just mention that to the fans? Quote:
But why do we need straight up remakes of what we had? Hell, the ones on Pulse aren't even straight up remakes.

And last I looked the AWE Bumblebee and HISS Megatron didn't exactly sell out. And yes, I want straight up remakes, or as close as currently possible. Which is exactly what they've given us. In the case of most of the figures, they're better than the originals. I don't give a shit about card stock thickness or white borders (but they do look better without them) since that gets tossed in the trash. I have books full of all the artwork, and can view it online anytime so they're pointless to me. As soon as I see the words "Star Wars", I stop reading. Comparing the two is as pointless as comparing me to Shaquille O'Neal. The movies are overrated and their toys sucked when I was a kid. That's why I was all in on G.I. Joe. I've bought all the retro stuff, (except Hissotron) opened all of it and love it all except Duke. I hope they have more for us, but they owe me nothing. I've already gotten more enjoyment out of my Joe collection than they could ever charge me for. |

100% of the reason why i havent purchased a marvel retro is because im not paying 12+ for 5poa action figures.
i bought two retro wolverines from best buy for 6 bucks each, one of which just for his claws, and the other because im messing up the first one. so what i'm saying to a toy company, is if the price is right im going to buy more than one. the price for 2 o-ring action figures that have been released numerous times before of the same characters for 40 bucks is not the right price for me to even consider. there's nothing i want more than literal retro o-ring gijoe figures on teh shelves at walmart for 9-13 bucks each. i dont care about the creative hoops you want to believe what "retro" means, but re-releasing modern sculpt gijoe figures on a vintage style card aint it. |

Please. Nobody bought a Skystriker out of the kindness of their heart or to support the support the brand. It was either because you simply wanted one, like me. Or you wanted to sell it for a profit. Both are completely acceptable reasons. To say there's any contempt on Hasbros part is ridiculous.

I've already gotten more enjoyment out of my Joe collection than they could ever charge me for. But I think everyone needs to realize the "soft relaunch" likely isn't going to happen. Hell, we already kind of have a soft relaunch - Skystriker, Stinger, two figure packs, and counting the Skystriker and Transformers carded figures, a decent selection of figures. Too many people seem to have thought Hasbro was going all in on returning O-Ring, and that it would be Classified levels of supported. They aren't. They gave us some, we bought mostly what they gave us, some is still rumored, and that's probably that. It's frankly about the same more or less than the ME relaunch got at Walmart a couple years ago. |

Also, we talking Starscream or Jetfire? Both were pretty great, although now that we have the TF x Joe stuff, I want an SS that converts (however unlikely).
