I was at the retro toy store yesterday with my 7 year old and he loves Storm Shadow, I was looking at the classified one. I asked him if he wanted to start collecting the 6in figures and he turned me down. instead he wanted a used black 3.75 Cobra Commander. For me I can't get over the stomach joint it looks so bad.

BizCopperhead is right. I do a lot of 3D printing and 3.75" Joes are right at about where he said when sizing. They generally don't fit well in 1/18 diecast cars because the steering wheels and seats have no give to them like a 1:1 vehicle. You can see that the 1/18 vehicles are slightly larger than the Joes if you have them posed next to it.

Guys, quit nerding the fun out of toys. They've always been referred to as 1:18 scale, so let's not start trying to be sticklers. Call them 3.75" or 4" or 1:18 and everyone knows you're talking about. We got enough damn scales without splitting hairs over what's actually 1:18.

72 / 3.75 is 19.2 72 / 4 is 18 I'd be inclined to agree that it doesn't matter, except it clearly does to all the ME guys who wonder why some vehicle won't fit their stuff, and suddenly Clutch's head is sticking completely out of the roofline of the VAMP. |

It's not even nerding out, it's just basic math.

I don't really care what scale figures are as long as they're consistent with each other and the vehicles of their respective lines. Compatibility with other lines is a bonus, not a requirement. |
