People rag on the new sculpt era a lot (and for good reason) but they were really just barely hitting their stride right at the end in 05-06. SE v23, Gung-Ho v16, and Grand Slam v3 are good examples of really well-proportioned figures that fit in with ARAH figures while also incorporating some of the details that people like about ME. I'd prefer to see them continue to improve the line rather than just make straight-up rereleases, but I understand that's not exactly a universal opinion lol.

I understand where you're coming from, but through the years here on the Tank, I've come to assume that alot of folks don't know what the fuck they're talking about. All assumptions. All guesses. All hypothesis'. No one really truly knows anything about what Hasbro is doing unless that person works for Hasbro in the GI Joe department. So I don't really believe anything until Hasbro gets it out onto the retailers pegs. Now, you may be 100% correct, but still, I'm waiting to see what we actually get. And if you are right, then I will say, "Damn! BizCopperhead was right!"
I am taking the approach that everything is to be identical to the original molds unless Emily and Lenny tell us otherwise. So far, the renders and discussion by them have lined up perfectly with that. They discussed only the color differences on the Duke and CC figures that were inspired by Sunbow, and that the forearms would be PVA. They have the render pointed at the boots, and that's a little odd, but it doesn't mean there's suddenly brand new engineering. There's just nothing to base that on. |

My replies on this topic are based solely on the material we've all been publicly provided by Hasbro. There were lots of people suggesting that the heads on CC and Duke are different, but there is zero reason to think they are. If you look at enough pictures of the Duke and CC figures, you can see that the scan renders are identical. Even better if you own and are familiar with the figures.

Is it the aqua-green tank top or the 'come hither' stare from behind a mask that gets you? ;)

Given he's using Airborne's helmet it's only fitting that he'd create another round of code name confusion!

I suppose the list of official Joes is longer and more extensive than I realize.
The search for Wayne's codename continues. |

All of this discussion of codenames makes me pray we get REAL filecards. Not these abominations from the Walmart exclusives.
